Read more1920’s Cabinet from Budapest with original hand etched glass
£0FREE Shipping to ground floor on this piece. More remote and rural locations will incur a charge.
A gorgeous early 20th century glazed cabinet from Budapest. It dates from around the late 1920’s to early 1930’s and has completely original cabinetry, glass, and bottom drawer. It is a rustic piece, completely original in construction with some beautiful hand carved glass etchings on the front panel. We adore the floral pattern and amount of time the etching would have taken a skilled craftsman. The cabinet came to us in a pretty horribly coloured bottle green and unpainted interior. We refinished the piece in a beautifully rich French Navy with the interior painted in Farrow & Ball Wevet. We adore the contrast of the two colours making the piece fresh and contemporary – but retaining all of the original rustic charm and that glass!
Superb rustic chic charm that could now be a stunning bathroom cabinet, display cabinet, bookcase etc.
