We are very pleased to be able to bring this rare antique piece to our website. It is simply stunning. Manufactured by Globe Wernicke around the early 1930’s it would have been sat in a warehouse office for filing in the drawers and storage of details on index cards. It is manufactured from radial cut, top quality oak and oak veneer (sides). The brass ware on the front is original and has been fully cleaned. It is quite simply the best example of aged handles and brass label holders that we have see. And we have seen a lot of pieces!

A beautiful early 20th Century glazed dresser / bookcase in walnut. It dates from around the early 1910’s to 20’s and has completely original cabinetry, glass, internal brass hardware and stunning handles. The dresser is in superb original condition for its age with all joints solid, beautiful original tongue and groove back panels and subtle but stylish flute work and cornice. We fully cleaned and oiled the original walnut finish then repainted the top internal with Farrow & Ball Wevet colour paint. This has given the piece the perfect mix of antique, rustic and contemporary. It is very stylish, subtle in design and very flexible in the colours – to match a vast array of room palletes.
We think it would make a fantastic and individual kitchen / diner cabinet. However, it could also be a bathroom cabinet, bookcase, display cabinet etc.

A really good old schoolmaster / mistress desk. This came out of a school in Holmfirth in West Yorkshire. It dates from around the 1960’s. The desk offers lots of storage with 7 drawers and the centre kneehole drawer retains its original working lock and one key. The desk has been well used and well loved and carries the cosmetic wear and tear you would expect for a desk of this age form a school. It is however, structurally very sound with all joints firm. The top is also original and in super condition for its age with only one sign of heavy wear to comment on (please see photograph). We love the rich colour of this, together with the well used and tarnished handles and its original deep green top.
A super stylish old school desk and a really good desk for home or work.
