We are very pleased to be able to bring this rare antique piece to our website. It is simply stunning. Manufactured by Globe Wernicke around the early 1930’s it would have been sat in a warehouse office for filing in the drawers and storage of details on index cards. It is manufactured from radial cut, top quality oak and oak veneer (sides). The brass ware on the front is original and has been fully cleaned. It is quite simply the best example of aged handles and brass label holders that we have see. And we have seen a lot of pieces!

An original hand painted sign dating from around the late 1920’s to early 1930’s. It is rear reverse painted and is in outstanding condition for its age. There are just some areas of ‘nibbles’ to the edges of the lettering. The glass is around 8mm thick which gives it a good solid weight. The edges of the glass are smooth and rounded. It hangs on a nice quality solid brass antique chain. All in all a beautiful sign with a very highly desirable subject matter. Hang it to make a statement (Non Smokers), laugh at the irony (Smokers) or just because it is fantastically decorative and stunning to look at. Quality and very different wall art for your home!

This gym bench dates to around the mid 1960’s and came to us from Mount Kelly private school in Tavistock, Devon. It is in super original condition with really true and square shoes baskets. Most of the baskets get bent or broken over the years but this one is in really good, straight condition, with perfect aged patina to the metal work. We fully cleaned the piece. It has all the original style and character but ready for another 60+ years of use.
These are very popular benches and we are finding it harder and harder to get them like this. Every time we manage to find one it flies out to another very happy customer.
A perfect way of tidying up a hallway or entrance whilst adding a real style statement.

A very nice Antique French double tambour cabinet in Oak, dating from the mid 20th Century (c. late 1950’s to early 1960’s). It comes with original handles, locks and one key, together with lots of removable and adjustable internal shelves. We love the rounded edges to the top and sides of the framework too. The colour and condition of the oak are beautiful and the size is perfect for the home. Not too large to over power but offering lots of storage and having a real presence.
A very nice example of a French tambour cabinet. This piece offers beautiful styling with lots of flexible storage capabilities. The inserts are easily removed should you want more space between shelves eg Taller books, taller bottles, hard files etc.
