An excellent example of the ever popular mid Century double pedestal desk. These are often referred to as Teacher’s desks. This one dates from around 1940-50 has a Withy Stores stationery tray still in tact and is in excellent original condition. It has two nice deep drawers in each pedestal. A pull out shelf/ mouse mat area on top of the left pedestal and a pull out stationery tray to the top of the right pedestal.
The colour and style are fantastic. The surface of the top has been sanded back and refinished due to staining but now is really showing off that beautiful teak grain. The handles have aged perfectly too. A very nice old school style desk that is a great size to be usable as a desk but not too large to have to think about positioning or room size.
We have sold a number of these mid Century desks and they never hang around for long. Grab one for yourself, quickly…..
