This very stylish old school gym bench dates to around the 1980’s and came to us from a school in Windsor. It has all of the fantastic old school/ gym style in a perfect size for home. It is constructed from heavy steel and thick gauge wire – all powder coated when new. It is very practical and in great condition for its age but has wear to the metalwork which is all original and gives the piece its authenticity. A solid and heavy piece, completely the opposite to modern imported reproductions.
A perfect way of tidying up a hallway or entrance whilst adding a real style statement.

A very stylish and super cute telephone seat dating from the 1960’s to early 1970’s. It was produced by Chippy Heath and are now very popular indeed! The piece is not only cute but also very practical with the two sliding door cupboard below. Very useful storage. These seats by chippy Heath are highly sought after and are becoming increasingly difficult to find at sensible prices and good original condition. The seat is original but has been reupholstered in a golden velvet fabric to complement the teak colouring.
We adore the size, design, proportions and colour. A classic but very stylish piece for your home and very on trend at the moment with the mid century revival being so popular.

It is in a very pretty Victorian design which we think lends itself perfectly to a bedroom chair or Victorian styled bathroom/ en suite chair. This very stylish old school gym bench dates to around the late 1960’s to early 1970’s and came to us from a school in North Staffordshire where it spent its whole life. It has all of the fantastic old school/ gym style in a perfect size for home. It is completely original throughout, constructed form steel box section frame with iroko and teak used for the hooks board and seat respectively. It is very clean and in great condition for its age but has wear to the metalwork which is all original and gives the piece its authenticity.
A perfect way of tidying up a hallway or entrance whilst adding a real style statement.

Exceptional 19th Century Piano Stool by Chas Parker Co.

This is an exceptional quality antique swivel piano stool made by the Chas Parker Co (1832-1975). Charles Parker first started making Piano stools, Art Brass, Lamps and guns around 1832 in Meriden, Connecticut, USA. They were world renowned for their quality hand made products and quickly became very highly sought after in the USA. They latterly appeared in both the Texas and Brooklyn Museums for their detailed brass work. This stool is presented in outstanding original condition in solid mahogany, which has aged perfectly to a very warm and rich colour. The turning on the stool is sharp and of the highest quality with fully working swivel and height adjustment. The colour and patina are exactly as you would want. The feet are exceptional too, being cast bronze griffin claws with feather detail to the upper leg portion. The griffin claws grip the original glass ball feet, which the stool rest upon. An all round beautiful antique stool that needs to be admired and treasured. One glass ball has a chip (as photographed).
The stools by Chas Parker are highly collectible in the US and sell for over £300 plus taxes and shipping (if you can find one). Or over £600-800 in the UK (1st Dibs)

Adult Size 1980’s School / Changing Bench

These gym benches date to around the mid to late 1980’s and came to us straight from a school in Leicestershire. A good size in both length and depth means the shoe tray can comfortably fit adult size shoes, as well as taller ankle boots. Steel legs and tray with a good solid beech slatted top means the bench has a nice solid weight and feel to it – not like modern reproductions. These benches already look great but just age up even better.
The benches have all the superb old school styling you could want and a really good size. A perfect way of tidying up a hallway or entrance whilst adding a real style statement. We have a number available in this size, one at 240cm width and one at 260cm width. If you wanted a bespoke width please get in touch.

Pair of Mid Century Italian Banquet Chairs in Brass

A stunning and rare pair of mid Century Italian Chiavari (Banquet) chairs in heavy brass. These chairs was created in 1807 by a cabinet maker from Chiavari on the north-western Italian coast, Giuseppe Gaetano Descalzi. At the invitation of the President of the Economic Society of Chiavari, the Marquis Stefano Rivarola, Descalzi reworked some chairs in the French Empire style, simplifying the decorative elements and lightening the structural elements. They were basically born form the simplification in design of the heavily ornate French Empire chairs. These chairs would have been used in meetings, weddings, banquets etc. They retain their original upholstery in very good order for their age.We think they are stunning dress chairs that would spark many conversations. They could be used as hall chairs, bedroom chairs, dressing table chairs, bathroom chairs etc etc. A unique style statement to really finish a space.Dimensions:

1950’s Folding Rex Chair by Niko Kralj

A superbly stylish Rex folding armchair designed by the Slovenian architect and designer Niko Kralj for Rex in 1952. The Rex chair has also been added to the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The chairs were made from a variety of cutting edge design and construction methods in the 1950’s, including curved plywood and bentwood (beech). The chairs were produced in natural beech, walnut and black. This one is in the original black paint finish and is in a very nice vintage condition. There are some small rub marks to the arms and some paint chips to the rear of the chair – all small. Please see photographs for close ups of the condition.
The chair folds flat for storage should you need to. It would also make a great desk chair. A superb designer chair that will only become more collectible.
