A gorgeous and exceptional Mid Century haberdashery cabinet in perfectly aged oak. The piece dates to around the 1940’s to early 1950’s and spent most of its life in a shop in East Yorkshire/ Humber. All of the glass doors and pull out trays are completely original and all are finger jointed to show the quality of the hand craftsmanship. It is very rare to find these cabinets without a drawer or two missing, doors missing, chips to the framework etc. The condition of this piece is exceptional. The glass doors were covered for a good part of their life in a stick on opaque film. When we removed the ill fitting and peeling film it revealed the stunning condition of the glass in the doors. It probably weights around 80-90 kgs, reflective of the quality of oak and thickness of the glass.
