Read moreElegant Edwardian Console Table in Teal
£0FREE Delivery on this item within approximately 130 miles of Cambridgeshire. Further afield areas will incur a surcharge to send via couriers.
This console is an original solid wood console table produced in the early 20th Century (circa 1900-1920). It was hand made in mahogany with elegant hand turned serpentine legs, typical of the Edwardian period. It came to us in a tired state of dull dark brown. We fully stripped the whole piece and refinished it in a teal for a contemporary colour pop and very appealing satin finish. A nice blend of antique and contemporary. The console also has a very clean pull out drawer. Use it in the hallway, bedroom, bathroom or wherever you choose 🙂
We think it now offers a very contemporary and useful console table made from solid wood and offering many more years of use. Reclaimed and refinished furniture is so much better for the planet too!
Dimensions:
73.5cm High, 71m Maximum Width, 45.5cm deep (top, excludes handles protrusions)

Read moreSuperb Globe Wernicke Stacking Bookcase in Medium Oak
£0FREE Delivery on this item within approximately 130 miles of Cambridgeshire. Further afield locations will incur a surcharge to send via couriers.
A fantastic example of Globe Wernicke’s stacking ‘elastic’ bookcase. Wernicke Co. produced the Elastic bookcase in Minneapolis, Minnesota in the late 19th Century (founded circa 1882) until they were bought by The Globe Files Co. in 1899. Wernicke invented the elastic bookcase and patented the designs.
Once Globe bought Wernicke the famous brand Globe-Wernicke began producing the elastic stack able book cases under patent in the USA. Thomas Turner also started marketing the design in England. Globe-Wernicke then expanded in to Canada, France, Belgium and Austria.
This is a beautiful example dating from circa 1920 to 1930 and presented in a very warm medium oak finish. Unusually the bottom section is much taller and deeper than the more often seen Globe Wernicke sections. The top section retains the original Globe Wernicke label for authenticity. Each section has the patented up and over door system to access the inside. The Globe Wernicke bookcases are becoming increasingly sought after and this is a really lovely example. With five sections it offers some incredible storage with a real style statement.
All sections easily separate for ease of transportation and moving in to the room of your choice.
Dimensions:
202cm High, 86.5cm Width, 48cm Max Depth (bottom section), upper sections are max 29cm deep.

A beautiful example of an Art Deco glazed drinks cabinet in oak. The piece dates from around the 1930’s with a classic Art Deco design to the doors.
