Read moreAntique 1920’s Walnut Bench with Gothic Pattern
£0FREE Delivery on this item. Some more remote and rural areas will incur a charge.
A simply stunning Arts & Crafts influence bench produced around the 1920’s. It is solid walnut framed with beautiful craftsmanship to the very well turned legs. The bentwood seat is punch hole designed from a neo-Gothic pattern, very much reflecting the UK Arts & Crafts movement of the era. We adore the design, colour and natural patina from years of ageing and use. The bench came to us in a very poor state and not stable to sit on. We fully secured the seat to make it safe. We then had to perform some patch repairs die to missing sections on the seat. The patches can be seen but have been colour blended. The pricing of this bench reflects those imperfections. The last three of these benches sold for £695. The bench is not too large to accommodate and would look stunning in a hallway or bedroom. Beautiful as a purely decorative piece but perfectly usable as a bench seat. We wouldn’t advise heavy daily use, as a dining bench for example. The bentwood seat would wear quickly if used heavily on a daily basis. Perfect for occasional use but of course the choice is yours. We have photographed the full condition of the seat, so please look carefully. Any questions we are more than happy to answer.
Simply stunning colour and design!

Read moreExceptional Original 1970’s Type 90 Anglepoise Lamp in Orange
£0FREE UK Delivery on this lamp.
An original 1970’s Type 90 Anglepoise lamp in exceptional original condition. It is presented in a rarely seen orange colour to give a gorgeous colour pop! Herbert Terry produced the Type 90 for Anglepoise in 1973 until 1983 when they were taken to mass produced (Type 90 Apex) and no longer produced by Herbert Terry in Reditch. A very nicely styled and aged original lamp in a great colour and original vintage condition. The lamp has the stamp of the Anglepoise Trademark Type 90 on the base fork uprights (see photographs) to prove its heritage and authenticity. Apart from a few very small ‘nibbles’ on the edge of the shade and a couple of very minor marks this lamp is incredible for something around 40-45 years old. One to treasure and let it appreciate.
Very popular vintage lamps that sell really quickly – and we completely understand why. They look fantastic already but will just keep getting better with time.

Read moreOriginal Antique Drawers in Farrow & Ball Hague Blue
£0FREE Delivery on this item. Some further afield and rural areas will incur a charge.
This is an original French antique chest of drawers originally produced circa early 1900’s. It came to us in a tired state of dull dark brown and in need of restoration. We fully stripped the whole piece and refinished it in Farrow & Ball Hague Blue Estate Emulsion for a contemporary colour pop and very appealing matt finish. A clear coat of Annie Sloan chalk paint wax has also been applied, to seal against water and spills. The chest has some nice weight to it, reflecting some quality of handmade construction. Not a lightweight flimsy piece. We love the cabriole legs sat on their original castors and also the handles are gorgeous.
We think it now offers a very contemporary and useful console table or chest of drawers made from solid wood and offering many more years of use. Reclaimed and refinished furniture is so much better for the planet too! Please note this does have some signs of age with cosmetic signs of wear (e.g one small chunk of the lower left leg missing). Please look at all photographs carefully for the condition and just ask if you have any further questions.

Read morec1930’s Cinema Seats Fully Reupholstered
£0FREE shipping on this item within 10 working days. Further afield, remote and rural areas will incur a charge.
A truly stunning set of cinema seats dating from around the late 1920’s to mid 1930’s. There were in bad shape when we bought them but the whole piece was fully stripped down and the torn and threadbare material was discarded. The frame was fully cleaned and re-oiled to show the cast iron work and aged patina. The seats were reupholstered with new material but we kept the original liners and tacks but added new wadding to the backrests. We adore the shape of the legs, the hat stows under each seat and the umbrella stows at each end; complete with original cast iron drip trays. A very sympathetic restoration and refurbishment that now offers a truly stunning and unique seat of seats.
The seats are popular in hallways where space may be tight but these seats are so beautiful they could be used in almost any room you choose.
