A beautiful heavy chest of drawers dating from around the 1910’s to 1920’s. They came all the way from Cape Town in South Africa, having been owned by three generations of the same family since they were new. They are presented in a beautifully aged hardwood finish and are in original condition throughout. The drawers are configured in a set of eight free running drawers of various sizes and depths, complete with working locks and a key to all drawers. All drawers are very well made with dovetail joints to the sides and are solid in construction. The drawer internals are very clean and the whole chest is completely solid and free from any wobbles or loose joints. The condition is very good for the age with no deep scratches or ‘damage’ just some minimal wear to the top surface – purely cosmetic. Please see all photographs and just ask if you would like further photographs or have any questions over the condition.
A very impressive chest that will look perfect in almost any room you choose. It’s a real keeper!
