£0FREE Shipping on this desk within approximately 150 miles of Cambridgeshire. More remote and far afield locations will incur a surcharge to send via a two man courier team.
A truly exceptional example of mid century industrial design. It dates from the late 1950’s to mid 1960’s and is a very rare example in this condition. We have sourced many industrial desks but this is certainly one of the best we have found! It is in completely original green paintwork and is exceptional condition for the age of the piece and its industrial/ utilitarian heritage. The desk has seven drawers in total, all with original handles, perfectly aged in brass. Most desks of this age and style have dents and rusting. The top of this desk is also exceptional when you consider their heavy use over the years and age. Please see extensive photographs for the exact condition. Even the edge of the desk is bound in brass, along with brass caps to the feet. A solid desk of great quality and a real stand out piece of industrial design.
These mid Century industrial desks are very highly sought after. With the condition and size of this desk it is perfect for the home with plenty of work surface for regular unrestricted use.
We love the overall look, perfectly aged green colour, patina and condition. Mid Century industrial styling at the top of its game!

Read moreOriginal Mid Century Etched Glass Light Up Antiques Sign
£0FREE Hand Delivery on this item within approximately 150 miles of Cambridgeshire. Further afield areas will incur a surcharge to send via courier. We won’t send this via the parcel services. They don’t insure Antiques or Glass and it is just too precious to risk it.
An original mid Century glass light up Antiques sign. It dates from around the late 1950’s to mid 1960’s and has hung in the Quiet Woman Antiques Centre in chipping Norton, Oxfordshire since it opened in 1999. It was made in England by Linolite and no doubt a bespoke piece for an Antiques shop at the time. The glass is reassuringly thick at 8mm and presented in fantastic condition, free from chips and any significant scratches. It is reverse etched lettering with superb texturing and frosting to all letters. Very little of the paint is peeling – just enough for provenance but excellently preserved. We re-wired the light with a brown twisted fabric cord and plenty of length at 3 metres long. It has had two new bulbs and been professionally tested for safety. It is supplied with chains for each end, should you wish to suspend it.

£0FREE Shipping on this piece within approximately 150 miles of Cambridgeshire. More remote and rural areas will attract a courier surcharge.
A great set of original vintage (c late 1950’s to mid 1960’s) steel filing drawers. The previous private owners had them stripped back of their original green paint, polished and lacquered. We love the mix of industrial design with the stripped and lacquered steel. Industrial but very clean and chic. They retain all of their originality and some great patina. The brass handles and label holders are original and in perfectly aged brass, to complement the bare steel. This set has the advantage of still having its original side rails for hanging suspension files. They are very rare to find without major dents, scratches, rust etc. The lock is present but there is no key present. All of the drawers run very easily. Exactly as they should.
A very nice size for home or office. Plenty of mid Century industrial design and character. Industrial style and practicality all rolled in to one.

Read more1930’s Enamel Kent & Cooper Advertising Sign
£0FREE Shipping on this item within the UK.
A pretty rare original 1930’s advertising sign for Kent & Cooper Ltd Pianos & Organs. This sign dates to around the early to mid 1930’s and is hand painted on enamel on steel. Kent & Cooper were very well reputed for their high quality hand made pianos and organs. They sold their products world wide from shops, predominantly in the East Midlands and Yorkshire. They closed their last store in 1960 (as far we can have researched). We have found American and Canadian buyers with Kent & Cooper pianos dating from the 1930’s and still loving them to this day. With the short period before closure not many of these sign would have existed at all…..
A superb sign for a lover of pianos, organs or has a connection to Kent & Cooper?
