£0FREE Delivery on this desk within approximately 150 miles of Cambridgeshire. Some more remote and rural areas will incur a charge.
An original retro style 1970’s desk in a gorgeously coloured teak. It came to us from Cambridge University as they were upgrading/ modernising the lecturer’s offices. We love the colour of the teak, the 70’s styling and the perfect Retro handles. With a generous work surface and lots of storage this would make a perfect work from home, study or even small business desk. Plenty of space for very regular use. It is a well weighted piece and well constructed from teak veneer, solid wooden drawer sides and bottoms, with steel legs.
The bottom right hand pedestal drawer is a double height filing drawer, all ready for suspension files. The filing drawer has its original lock and keys to lock the drawer; as does the top left hand drawer.
Such a great Retro 70’s look!

Read moreEarly Georgian Settle Bench in Walnut and Oak
£0FREE delivery on this bench within approximately 150 miles of Cambridgeshire. Further afield, remote and rural areas will incur a charge.
A stunning settle bench dating from approximately 1790 to 1810. The settle has been expertly hand made in a walnut frame with oak back panel inserts; and walnut marquetry. The quality of the piece is highly evident in the quality of the turning and shaping in the arms and legs. Expertly carved, shaped and rounded by true craftsmen. The walnut has aged beautifully with all of the original patina and wear on the back panels and arms. The bench is heavy and structurally solid to all joints. It is totally original throughout but two of the rear panel inserts have vertical splits (very common from shrinkage in modern centrally heated houses). There is also an old repair to the upper section of the arm. Repaired well and colour blended. For its age it is in very good original antique condition. The seat has been re-upholstered in a complementary dark gold velvet fabric. We adore the age, the colour and original patina of this bench. A superb bench that should be adored and treasured as it gets even better with the years.
Dimensions:
178.5cm Wide, 103cm Back Height, Max Depth 67cm
Seat height 43cm, Seat Depth 54cm

Read moreAntique Astragal Glazed Gin Cabinet in Walnut
£0FREE Shipping on this item within approximately 150 miles of Cambridgeshire. Further afield and rural areas will incur a charge to send via couriers.
A original antique drinks cabinet with beautiful astragal glazing to the doors. The cabinetry is in very good original condition and a superbly aged walnut colouring. All of the glass in the doors is original too, along with the original internal bolts, lock and key. It was hand produced by highly skilled craftsmen around 1920-30, being typical Edwardian styling, sat on Queen Anne style legs. It was owned by one family since new. Plenty of beautiful storage for books, drinks, display items etc.
This cabinet is presented in perfectly aged walnut. There are some small glass chips to the leading edge of the shelves (circa 8) but we thought it best to leave as completely original rather than have new shelves cut and polished just for these minor cosmetic marks, that can not be seen easily – and not at all when the doors are closed. We re-finished the back and bottom in Farrow & Ball Wevet eggshell. This gave the piece a contemporary facelift to bring it bang on trend for 2022. What a perfectly gorgeous gin cabinet? It would be very hard to find a more beautiful example than this?
Dimensions:
121cm High to unit top (128cm to top of rear gallery), 118cm Max Width, 35cm Max Depth (centre of the cabinet)
