An excellent example of an original mid century low glazed bookcase/ unit/ sideboard in Teak (not teak veneer). Produced in the 1950’s and 60’s by Herbert & Gibbs this is solid, completely original and in great condition. It is from their Autograph range, complete with the brass metal plate of authenticity to the rear; showing the autograph and serial number. Original shelves and original glass.
At 84.5cm high it offers lots of flexible storage capabilities as a bookcase, drinks cabinet. sideboard, TV Stand, Media Unit etc. It can easily be accommodated in to living, dining or bedroom styling. The shelves are adjustable or removable by moving the pegs/ supports for each shelf. Fantastic and highly desirable mid century styling.

A fantastic solid and heavy oak desk that looks very contemporary and stylish. This desk dates from the late 1920’s to mid 1930’s. It is a beautiful colour and size with plenty of storage within the six drawers. The desk has three drawers to the left pedestal, a central knee hole drawer and a double height filing style drawer to the right pedestal, with a further standard sized drawer above. Both pedestals also have pull out top shelves for drinks, resting books, mouse mat etc. There is one small area of missing veneer to the left hand side panel of the desk. Please see the photographs for detailed condition.
These desk are most commonly referred to as teachers desks now. We have sold a number of these old teachers desks and they never hang around for long.

A very rare pair of Japanese bamboo ship’s deck chairs, finely made of bamboo slats, with folding armrests from the mid 20th century (circa late 1940’s-1950’s). The frame and seat slats are made completely from bamboo. They are fully functioning both in supporting weight for sitting and folding flat when required.
We adore the style, the colour and the patina on these chairs. They can be used as patio chairs, conservatory/ orangery but would also make perfect dress chairs for a bedroom, bathroom, hallway etc. Very stylish and very flexible.
