A very rare pair of Japanese bamboo ship’s deck chairs, finely made of bamboo slats, with folding armrests from the mid 20th century (circa late 1940’s-1950’s). The frame and seat slats are made completely from bamboo. They are fully functioning both in supporting weight for sitting and folding flat when required.

We adore the style, the colour and the patina on these chairs. They can be used as patio chairs, conservatory/ orangery but would also make perfect dress chairs for a bedroom, bathroom, hallway etc. Very stylish and very flexible.
