A stunning pair of early 20th Century (stamped 1917) Iron trestles by Bayliss Jones & Bayliss Ltd (stamped in to the iron on the uprights). William Bayliss founded the Bayliss Ironworks Co in Birmingham, around 1815 and it ran under various guises and ownership right up until 1980. They were renowned for their quality iron railings, ornate gates and also cattle fencing. The design of these trestles is exceptional, having double thickness up rights and feet with stud riveting. This extra detail and strength sets them apart from the more common single round shaft trestles.
These trestles are used as table legs by simply adding the table size and material of your choice. All of the original ironwork and shape are in tact, along with the beautiful antique patina.
The style of this pair is also very rare and is of a very high standard of finish. Add the top of your choice for a completely bespoke table or desk.
