A stunning pair of early 20th Century folding trestles in solid oak. They date from around 1900-1910, early English Edwardian period. The design of these trestles is exceptional as is the totally original condition. They have a superb quality turning to the spindles as well as detailed hand carving flower design in the centres. Both fold flat if required to store. Truly exceptional and a pretty rare find.
We think they would make an incredible statement coffee table with a glass top to show the beautiful trestles below?

A superb pair of early 20th Century wrought iron trestles. The design of these trestles is fantastic. All hand forged in iron and date stamped 1907. The trestles were hand stripped of many layers of paint, hand burnished and finally waxed to prevent oxidisation/ rust. They are now the perfect mix of rustic but clean and ready to use in a private or commercial property.
Trestles such as these, are used as table legs by simply adding the table size and material of your choice. All of the original ironwork and shape are in tact, along with the beautiful antique patina.
Add the top of your choice for a completely bespoke table or desk.

A stunning pair of early 20th Century folding trestles in solid antique pitch pine. They date from around 1900-1920, therefore the English Edwardian period. The design of these trestles is exceptional as is the totally original condition. They have a very definitive Gothic pattern and would have been used in a church as part of their heritage. Possibly as an altar table, flower stand/ console or even coffin stands. They are perfectly coloured and preserved. Both fold flat if required to store. Truly exceptional and a pretty rare find.
They would make and incredible statement decorative piece in a private or commercial setting. Sure to start many conversations?

A stunning trio of early 20th Century wrought iron trestles. The design of these trestles is exceptional, having double thickness up rights and feet with stud riveting. This extra detail and strength sets them apart from the more common single round shaft trestles. This style of trestles are very hard to find. They were originally used by blacksmiths as they bare the extra weight of iron and steel. To find three matching in this condition is truly quite exceptional. We ensured all three were stripped of (much later) paint. The trestles were then wire brushed, burnished, oiled and finally a light layer of clear wax to prevent oxidisation and rusting.
These trestles are commonly used as table legs by simply adding the table size and material of your choice. All of the original ironwork and shape are in tact, along with the beautiful antique patina. Three trestles would support a table up to around 3 meters in length. A real statement piece?!

A stunning pair of early 2oth Century Iron trestles in original and very old paint. Very hard to find in good condition at reasonable price. We normally strip these trestles when they are just splattered with odd colours of paint or have been painted more recently. When they look this good in 100 year old paint though – we just have to leave them exactly as we found (and love) them!

A stunning pair of early 20th Century (stamped 1917) Iron trestles by Bayliss Jones & Bayliss Ltd (stamped in to the iron on the uprights). William Bayliss founded the Bayliss Ironworks Co in Birmingham, around 1815 and it ran under various guises and ownership right up until 1980. They were renowned for their quality iron railings, ornate gates and also cattle fencing. The design of these trestles is exceptional, having double thickness up rights and feet with stud riveting.
