A beautiful example of an original Art Deco book case or drinks cabinet. The cabinet is presented in superbly coloured radial cut oak and oak veneer with beautifully astragal glazed doors. We adore the colour of the piece, the grain of the wood and the archetypal Art Deco design to the cabinetry . We refinished the back in Farrow & Ball Wevet to really lift the piece and bring it in to 2021. The cabinet comes with its original lock, escutcheon and key. It is in beautiful original condition but there will be some minor marks and blemishes due to the age of the piece. Please examine all photographs for the condition and just ask us if you would like more information/ close ups.
Internally it has two wooden shelves that are height adjustable via the brass supports.
We think it makes a beautiful gin cabinet but of course can be a bookcase, display cabinet or other drinks cabinet.

An excellent example of an original mid century double height glazed bookcase/ unit produced by Herbert E Gibbs (with authenticity plate) . Produced in the 1960’s this is solid teak, completely original and in excellent condition. It has both of its original sliding glass doors and internal adjustable shelves. The frame shows the quality of teak used and the beautiful handmade craftsmanship from the dovetail joints. It all sits on very stylish legs to give it a superb mid century classic style, that is so highly desirable at the moment. There is one old circular surface mark to the top. Please see all photographs for the condition.
It offers lots of flexible storage capabilities as a bookcase, sideboard, drinks cabinet etc. It can easily be accommodated in to living or bedroom styling. The shelves are easily adjustable and removable by moving the supports.
Clean lines and mid century styling that offers incredible value for money.

A beautiful example of an original antique gin cabinet or display case. The cabinet is presented in totally original condition throughout the frame, base, doors and glass. The oak has aged perfectly to give a beautiful antique patina. The piece has some beautiful carving detail to the door edge and is a very elegant design throughout. Most probably early Edwardian in age dating form the early part of the 20th Century. The cabinet retains its original brass ware, with locking bolts to the left door, original hinges and door latch, together with working lock and one key. We refinished the back in Farrow & Ball Wevet to really freshen the piece up and bring in in to 2021 trends. The top does separate easily form the base for transportation and positioning.
We adore the colour and age of the piece, the quality of the oak and the stunning carved pattern to the door. We think it makes a beautiful gin cabinet but of course can be a bookcase, display cabinet or other drinks cabinet.

A stunning example of an original Art Deco 1920’s antique book case or drinks cabinet. The cabinet is presented in superbly coloured walnut veneer with a beautiful astragal glazed door. We adore the colour of the piece, the grain of the wood and the stunning pattern to the door. We refinished the back in Farrow & Ball Wevet to really lift the piece and bring it in to 2021. The cabinet comes with its original lock, escutcheon and key. It is in beautiful original condition with just one small veneer bubble (as photographed) to the door, approximately 3cm x 1cm.
Internally it is show with two glass shelves but it does have three should you wish to have more shelves with less height between for smaller items.
We think it makes a beautiful gin cabinet but of course can be a bookcase, display cabinet or other drinks cabinet.

A stunning example of an original antique book case or drinks cabinet by Maple & Co.
Maple and Co was one the largest and most successful British furniture retailers and cabinet makers in the Late 19th Century, Victorian and Edwardian periods. They were well known for fine quality, craftsmanship and were specialists in copying old designs but bringing them up to date to the more modern trends. They produced many quality pieces of antique furniture in designs such as Hepplwhite and Chippendale but also were well known for their quality Arts & Crafts Furniture.
This beautiful piece is presented in perfectly aged mahogany with its original astragal glazed doors, glass, lock and key. The shelves are easily adjustable in height by moving the brass supports up or down within the unit. The bookcase is set on superbly styled solid mahogany ball and claw feet. Even the brass locking bolts and hinges are completely original and beautifully preserved.
We re-finished the back in Farrow & Ball Wevet eggshell. This gave the piece a contemporary facelift to bring it bang on trend for 2021. What a perfectly gorgeous gin cabinet? It would be very hard to find a better example than this.

A very unusual example of a mid century tall glazed cabinet by Minty of Oxford. Minty produced some really nice quality bookcases from the early 20th Century to the late 20th Century, usually in oak. We have not come across this style or size from them before. It is made from solid teak with a really nice weight to it, reflective of the quality. With so many storage sections it offers great flexibility as a bookcase, drinks cabinet, secretaire etc. All shelves and doors are original and working exactly as they should be. No chips or scratches to the doors and a beautifully aged colour.
Very stylish and super on trend at the moment. It would be very hard to find a better example than this.

An original mid century double glazed bookcase/ drinks cabinet/ unit/ in solid teak. Produced in the 1960’s by Herbert Gibbs the cabinet has a really good size and clean style to it with good quality heavy glass doors. The size is really versatile and mush deeper than most; offering good storage for larger books. The unit is completely original with super condition to the solid wood framework, original sliding glass doors, shelves and adjusters. Please check all photographs and just ask us if you have any other questions over the condition.
The shelves are adjustable, or removable, by simply moving the support pegs. Or removing the shelves completely, should you need to. Both doors slide exactly as they should and are free from chips and scratches. We think the piece offers lots of flexible storage capabilities as a bookcase, drinks cabinet. sideboard, TV stand etc. It can easily be accommodated in to living, dining or bedroom styling. Fantastic and highly desirable mid century styling at such a great value for money price.

A beautifully unique c1920’s glazed drinks cabinet or bookcase. This piece offers classic late Art Deco period lines in its feet and outer frame shaping. It dates from around the late 1920’s and is presented in a high quality radial cut oak. We fully cleaned and gently restored the oak then repainted the rear panel in Farrow & Ball Wevet. This re-design now offers a superbly stylish gin/ drinks cabinet with all of the history and unique style of an antique; but made contemporary and very on trend. It could of course be used as a bookcase.
Both glass sliding doors are the original heavy glass with scoop handles. A beautifully unique piece of history ready for a luck new owner to cherish.
