£0FREE Shipping on this item within 10 working days. Far afield and rural areas will incur a charge.
A gorgeous mid Century glazed gin cabinet. Tis cabinet was produced in the 1960’s by Harris & Rose of London N1 (Islington). The cabinetry is finished in Walnut veneer and presented in a beautifully aged colour and patina. Although it is a mid century piece it is very much of the 1920’s Art Deco design, sat on Queen Anne style cabriole legs. All of the glass in the doors is original along with the glass shelves, lock and key. We put a new back on the piece as the previous one was covered in old and worn material. We refinished the new back in Farrow & Ball Wevet Estate Eggshell for a contemporary update and to really freshen the piece up. Very nicely sized to be easy to accommodate but still offering plenty of storage for some of you favourite things.
Spoil yourself and makes those little treats even more special.

A stunning example of an original antique book case or drinks cabinet with beautiful astragal glazing to the doors. The cabinetry is in exceptional original condition. All of the glass in the doors is original too but there is one crack to the left door (please see the close up photograph). You don’t notice the crack until you are very close but we do have to mention it! We could quite easily replace it but for the cosmetic effect it has, we felt it was best to leave the original glass in and reflect it in the price.
This beautiful piece is presented in perfectly aged mahogany with its original astragal glazed doors, glass, lock and key. The shelves are easily adjustable in height by moving the brass supports up or down within the unit. The cabinet is set on superbly carved ball and claw feet. Even the brass locking bolts and hinges are completely original and beautifully preserved.
We re-finished the back in Farrow & Ball Wevet eggshell. This gave the piece a contemporary facelift to bring it bang on trend for 2021. What a perfectly gorgeous gin cabinet? It would be very hard to find a more beautiful example than this?

A beautiful example of an original old school book case or drinks cabinet. The cabinet is presented in superbly coloured and very high quality thick radial cut oak with beautifully sliding glazed doors. As a gauge of the quality of wood the bookcase weighs in excess of 40kgs. We adore the colour of the piece, the grain of the wood and the simplicity of design to the cabinetry. The bookcase sits atop very well turned oak ball feet. We refinished the back in Farrow & Ball Wevet to really lift the piece and bring it in to 2021. The cabinet comes with its original lock but no key. It is in beautiful original condition but there will be some minor marks and blemishes due to the age of the piece. Please examine all photographs for the condition and just ask us if you would like more information/ close ups.
Internally it has two wooden shelves that are height adjustable via the brass supports or easily removed.
We think it makes a beautiful gin cabinet but of course can be a bookcase, display cabinet, bathroom towel cabinet etc.
