A truly stunning set of cinema seats dating from around the late 1920’s to mid 1930’s. There were in bad shape when we bought them but the whole piece was fully stripped down and the torn and threadbare material was discarded. The frame was fully cleaned and re-oiled to show the cast iron work and aged patina. The seats were reupholstered with new material but we kept the original liners and tacks but added new wadding to the backrests. We adore the shape of the legs, the hat stows under each seat and the umbrella stows at each end; complete with original cast iron drip trays. A very sympathetic restoration and refurbishment that now offers a truly stunning and unique seat of seats.
The seats are popular in hallways where space may be tight but these seats are so beautiful they could be used in almost any room you choose.

The seats were reupholstered with new material but we kept the original springs (re-tied) and added new hessian and wadding. Even the upholstery tacks were back in the same holes as the previous tacks. A very sympathetic restoration and refurbishment that now offers a truly stunning and unique seat of seats.
The seats are popular in hallways where space may be tight but these seats are so beautiful they could be used in almost any room you choose.

A truly stunning pair of cinema seats dating from the late 1920’s to mid 1930’s. They were made by The Bennett Seating Co. in Louisville, Kentucky. We purchased them from a private client that bought them in the US when they loved there. The seats are totally original and in outstanding condition for the age of the piece. We fully stripped the seats and supports to give the whole frame a clean and re-oil. We also sanded and gently restored the seats to bring out their colour and perfectly aged patina from all the years of use. We adore these! Try finding another pair?
They now make a beautiful decorative item that can be used in almost any room you choose. They are popular as seats in a hallway due to them not taking up much width and the ability to fold thee seats up if needs be.

This is a beautiful and very cute early 20th Century Edwardian salon chair. The construction is from a dark mahogany which we have complemented with a newly reupholstered seat in teal soft plush fabric. The original seat webbing, horse hair and padding were retained as they were all in excellent condition. The seat does fold, should you need it to.
We think it would make a beautiful occasional chair in a hallway, bedroom or bathroom. Or wherever else you see fit.
Very nicely styled with classic Edwardian stick back. A beautiful antique chair with so much character and style!

They are fully functioning both in supporting weight for sitting and folding flat when required (obviously for supporting the weight of a child not adult)
