£0A truly stunning pair of cinema seats dating from the late 1920’s/ early 1930’s and displaying beautiful Art Deco side supports. The seats are totally original and in outstanding condition for the age of the piece. The wood is solid oak and the side supports are cast iron with a beautifully rich bronzed finish.
The seat pads and back supports are in a very dark green but inside and out of bright lights many would say black.
These were donated by Henry Rank (founder of Rank Cinema, Rank Organisation, Rank Foundation etc) to a local Methodist Chapel in East Yorkshire; close to where Rank was born. He was a Methodist himself and a very active philanthropist.
Without doubt the best cinema seats we have come across!
