An original mid century double width glazed bookcase/ unit/ sideboard in solid teak. Produced in the 1960’s by Morris of Glasgow the cabinet has a really good weight and quality construction to it with dove tailed joints to the frame and good quality heavy glass doors. The size is really versatile. The unit is completely original with super condition to the solid wood framework, original sliding glass doors, shelves and adjusters.
Both shelves are easily adjustable, by simply moving the wooden support pegs to different holes. Or removing the shelves completely, should you need to. All four doors slide easily and are free from chips and scratches. If you need any further close ups or have any questions, just ask us.
We think the piece offers lots of flexible storage capabilities as a bookcase, drinks cabinet. sideboard, TV stand etc. It can easily be accommodated in to living, dining or bedroom styling. Fantastic and highly desirable mid century styling at such a great value for money price.

An excellent example of an original mid century low glazed bookcase/ unit/ sideboard in teak, with original glass sliding doors. Produced around the 1960’s this is a really clean and completely original example. A great size, superb colour with original adjustable shelves and original glass. There is one very small chip to the top corner of the right hand door (see photograph). It is not visible unless you bend down to look directly at it. Otherwise it is not visible from the angle of normal standing height but we have noted it for transparency and hones

A very on trend modular storage system by Avalon Furniture. The cabinets are teak and and teak veneer with their original supports and black metal uprights. The uprights have a black matt finish. The cabinets are original throughout with their original wooden and glass doors. The style is very much of the Ladderax system sold by Heals in the mid Century. Offering a glazed bookcase/ storage section, a pull down drinks cabinet and a record storage cabinet it is fantastically flexible with what you are able to store away and/ or display. The systems can be styled and used in so many different ways and used in many different rooms and interior styles.

An excellent example of an original mid century glazed bookcase/ cabinet in solid beech. Produced in the 1960’s this is vey well constructed form solid wood, dovetailed at the corners and with original glass sliding doors. They came to us from a school in Cambridgeshire. The cabinet is in very good condition and the doors are free from any chips or noticeable scratches. Internally there is one adjustable shelf with the original brass support system. Or it can be easily removed completely. We love the size, colour and how flexible these can be. Use them as a bookcase, a drinks cabinet, a record store, tv stand and media unit or any other thing you need. Simplistic original old school styling that will also be on trend.
We have two available that will stack on top of each other, should you need them to. Or one in each alcove?

The door hinges are fully hinged with a piano hinge, adding to a quality construction feel. The size is really versatile. An original school cabinet saved from a school in Frodsham, Cheshire. It dates from around the early 1960’s and in is made from beech frame and teak, giving it a nice solid feel and weight. It was in a sorry state when we bought it so we stripped it back, oiled it, sympathetically colour matched the wood colour, then refinished in a satin sheen finish top coat. We have a matching pair available.

Produced around the early to mid 1960’s this is a really clean and completely original example by Minty of Oxford. Minty were well renowned for their quality hardwood bookcases and are now very sought after. A great size, superb colour with original glass and lockable top section (one key present). Produced in the 1960’s this is solid teak, completely original and in excellent condition. It has both of its original sliding glass doors and internal adjustable shelves. The frame shows the quality of teak used and the beautiful handmade craftsmanship from the dovetail joints. It all sits on very stylish legs to give it a superb mid century classic style, that is so highly desirable at the moment. There is one old circular surface mark to the top.
