An excellent example of an original mid century low glazed bookcase/ unit/ sideboard in walnut, with original glass sliding doors. Produced around the late 1950’s to early 1960’s this is a really clean and completely original example by Minty of Oxford. Minty were well renowned for their quality oak and walnut bookcases and are now very sought after. A great size, superb colour with original adjustable shelves and original glass. We love the details of the brass shelf supports and adjusting mechanism, the beautifully shaped legs and the colour of the walnut.
At 86.5cm high it offers lots of flexible storage capabilities as a bookcase, drinks cabinet. sideboard, TV Stand, Media Unit etc. It can easily be accommodated in to living, dining or bedroom styling. The shelves are adjustable or removable by moving the pegs/ supports for each shelf. Fantastic and highly desirable mid century styling.

Produced around the late 1950’s to early 1960’s this is a really clean and completely original example by Meredew. A great size, superb colour with original adjustable shelves and original glass. We love the details of the brass shelf supports and adjusting mechanism, as we do the perfect ball knobs for the cupboard doors.

An original school cabinet saved form a school in Ilkeston, Derbyshire. It dates from around the early 1960’s in is made from solid beech throughout, giving it a solid feel and heavy weight. It was in a sorry state when we bought it so we stripped it back, oiled it, sympathetically colour matched the wood colour, then refinished in a satin sheen finish top coat. It has also had a new back and been fully sanded and cleaned inside. We left the original hand written shelf labels on because we love how they reflect its heritage and original use.
At almost 2 meters wide it now offers a vast array of uses, such as a hall cupboard for bags, shoes, scarves etc. or a large bookcase, Vinyl LP collection store, VERY large drinks cabinet. The choice is yours!
Old school styling meets uber practicality.

An unusual 1960’s low glazed bookcase/ unit/ sideboard produced by B & S Goodman, London . Produced in the 1960’s this is solid, completely original and in great condition. It has its original glass doors, shelves, height adjustable support brackets and door handles. There is one small area of veneer damage, approximately 4mm on the front of the right hand door. Only visible on close inspection/ scrutiny but we prefer to highlight any issues.
