£0Free Hand delivery on this item within approximately 130 of Cambridgeshire. Further afield locations will incur a charge to send via couriers. We won’t send this via any of the Parcel carrier services.
A superb Fry’s Chocolate/ Confectionery shop display cabinet. Dating from the early 20th Century and probably 1910-1920, the cabinet is made from mahogany wood framework, glass and hand painted signage in green and gold. It would have sat on the shop counter displaying the Fry’s chocolate and confectionery for sale in the shop.
The interior is accessed by a single slide up door at the rear, which is free running (pull side catch out to raise the door) . The signage is in the gorgeous green and gold colourway. These are very hard to find in such good condition and are increasingly sought after. The glass in the rear door is a later replacement.
It makes such a stunning decorative piece that almost every visitor will want to see and admire.

Read morec1880 Victorian Folding Up Seat Bench
£0FREE Shipping on this item within approximately 150 miles of Cambridgeshire. Further afield areas will attract a surcharge to send via couriers.
This is a beautiful late 19th Century folding seat bench in cast iron framework with antique pitch pine seating. It dates from around 1870-1890 and was made by the North of England School Furnishing Co, based in Darlington [‘Furney’] (1860’s to c1970). We assume it was therefore originally used in a school hall, dining room or gym? It is in superb condition for its age with all joints being solid and the bench sitting very sturdy for regular use. We fully cleaned the piece and gently restored its colour and finish, with some simple waxing to the gorgeous cast iron legs and back support.
All four seats fold up which makes it perfect for a narrow hallway. We love the style, colour and overall versatility of the bench. It could be a hall bench, additional seating for a party, bbq, Christmas etc. The bench is solid and sturdy when folded out and totally useable as an everyday use bench. We have added feet to make it stable but more secure fixings to a floor would make it look more ‘fitted’ and sleeker.
We adore the design and condition, making it stand out from the masses of hall benches available.
Dimensions:
68.5cm Back Height, 188cm Wide, 38cm Deep (back touching wall to front feet)
