A superb solid oak bookcase dating from around the turn of the century to the 1920’s and very much of the Arts & Crafts influence (1880-1920 in the UK) . The weight and colour of the oak, together quality of carpentry show the overall quality of this piece. It has some nice details setting it apart from the rest too. This reflects both the quality of carpentry and craftsmanship, together with the Arts & Crafts design elements. It came to us from an antiques dealer’s private home due to downsizing.

Read moreEarly 20th Century School Gym Bench with Baskets
£0FREE UK Mainland Shipping on this item. Some more remote and rural locations will incur a charge.
This gym bench dates to around the 1920’s to 30’s. It is a heavy solid piece being made from heavy iron on the legs and framework. The slats on top are original in nice thick oak. The shoe baskets are generous in height and also nice and deep at 28cm, so they can easily accommodate larger adult size footwear. This is rare to find such an old school bench. We generally see them from 1960’s to 1970’s.
The bench is in solid original condition both in the iron framework and the oak slats. No wobbles when sitting and a good weight to feel securely planted.
These are very popular benches and we are finding it harder and harder to get good original ones. Every time we manage to find one it flies out to another very happy customer. This one is unlike most due to being much older and a very different, more industrial design.
A perfect way of tidying up a hallway or entrance whilst adding a real style statement.
Dimensions: 123cm Wide, 31cm Max Depth, 43cm Seat Height

Read moreOriginal Rare Face 1960’s Sculptura Clock by WestClox
£0FREE UK Shipping on this item.
This is an original (circa late 1960’s) Sculptura Big Ben clock by Westclox of Scotland. The face is exceptionally rare. One we have never seen before. Very Art Deco in styling with an intricate silver design. Together with the black hands and black rear cover it carries a very Art Deco theme. We love the Retro design and exceptional original condition. The condition is amazing considering the age of the clock. There is just one small patch of haze on the face circa 1cm (only visible in certain light and from a certain angle). There are two very small scratches on the face but again only when inspecting very closely and from a certain angle in the right light (less than 1cm).
Different, rare, stylish and super original condition – exactly what we love to offer you.
This would be perfect as a bedside clock, desk clock or just about anywhere else that would like to see the time in a vintage and super stylish fashion. This is a rare example in super original condition.

Read moreEarly 20th Century Wash stand Chest of Drawers in Oak
£0FREE Shipping on this item. More remote and rural areas will incur a charge.
A simply stunning Edwardian was stand with marble top. The wash stand is unusual to contain a full chest of drawers and cupboard below and dates from around 1910-20. The more common wash stands were simply tables with marble tops. This exceptional example is made from beautifully grained oak, dating from around 1910-20. The oak framework and rear upstand have subtle, classic and beautiful hand carving work to them. A reflection that the piece was a handmade quality piece when new. The grain and colour of the oak have aged beautifully. The marble top has only one small ‘nibble’ around 2cm to the front left corner. The drawers and cupboard at the bottom are exceptionally clean and offer lots of really useful storage.
We adore the style, the colouring, the grain of the wood, the beautiful drop handles, and the original brass towel holders to both ends. All of this sat atop the original brass castors. We rarely see better wash stands than this. Just beautiful!
This chest will look perfect in almost any room you choose. It’s a real keeper!
Dimensions: 92cm High (to top of rear upstand), 97cm Wide (towel rail to towel rail), 43.5cm Deep (marble top)
