Mid Century Old School Gym Bench with 18 Baskets

This gym bench dates to around the late 1950’s to early 1960’s. It is a heavy solid piece being surrounded in 30mm thick wood and having 18 show baskets. SO much storage!
This bench is in super condition both in the solid framework and the galvanised metal shoes baskets. Most of the baskets get bent or broken over the years but this one is in really good, straight condition, with perfect aged patina to the metal work. We fully cleaned the piece. It has all the original style and character but ready for another 60+ years of use.
These are very popular benches and we are finding it harder and harder to get them like this. Every time we manage to find one it flies out to another very happy customer. This one is unlike most due to being bigger and having lots more baskets.
A perfect way of tidying up a hallway or entrance whilst adding a real style statement.

An original school changing/ gym bench dating from the 1980’s. Great Retro/ Old school styling for your home. The bench has a very nice weight to reflect the quality of construction. In very good condition for the age of the bench. The wood grain is beautiful, showing the quality of the ash used.
We have some of theses benches at double this length too. (236cm in length with four leg supports)
Should you need a slightly smaller length for a particular space/ alcove we can cut smaller than this (118cm) width for you too.

A very cute and stylish desk / table by Abbess. Made from a beautifully rich Walnut and walnut veneer it could be used as a desk, if space is tight, a cute dressing table or hall/ console table. It could equally be a great desk for a child or teen. Made around the late 1960’s to early 1970’s it retains the Abbess label inside the drawer and is stamped to the bottom of the drawer. Superb Retro styling and a great colour. A desk/ table with a difference. There is one very small area of missing/ cracked veneer to the bottom left corner of the drawer. Very small indeed but please see photograph for size.
