Original mid 20th Century changing room/ gym bench. Beautiful patina to the mesh baskets and American Poplar/ Tulipwood seat. We had to remake the legs and feet as the originals had been cut. Makes for a very cool but usable piece now. Looks fantastic.
We love the sleek simplistic lines on this mid century (circa 1950) bench. We managed to find two from a local sports club and now only have this one left. Completely original apart from us renewing the fixing bolts for safety, cleaning, gently sanding and finishing the tops ready for sale.
Original green paint to the steel legs. Great style and practicality at a fantastic price.

We think the patina to the oak slats and steel baskets is just perfect on this bench. Circa 1960’s it came from a local school in Sheffield where it has been all of its life. Beautiful colour and sheen to the oak top and gorgeous natural wear to the steel shoe baskets below. A really good size and weight to be a super stylish and practical piece at home now.
We had three available in this size but now only have one left. We also have a longer (183cm) but narrower (30cm) one.

We love this old school/ gym bench! Solid teak original seating with a refinished steel frame in gloss back. In great vintage condition with fantastic wear and usage marks to show its authenticity. This now makes a fantastic hall bench or a special bench for the children – or one each, as we have two identical available.

An original school changing/ gym bench dating from circa 1960’s. The beautiful teak seat is original, along with the original wire shoes baskets below. The patina on the baskets is just perfect. We had to make new legs as the original benches were fixed to the wall with wall brackets.
These original ESA Esavian old school benches with baskets are a very rare find indeed. Dating from around the late 1950’s to early 1960’s they are completely original. Constructed from solid beech and galvanised steel they now have the perfectly aged patina and style that is very highly sought after.
They came from a school in Newark, given to the PE teacher that had worked there for 35 years!

Most people know the furniture from school as a lot of it was produced in the 1950s and 60s. Esavian school stacking chairs were lightweight and strong, made with die-cast aluminium legs with a plywood seat and back rest. Their desks, benches, chests of drawers, racks, lockers and cupboards were all well designed and well made to last. The chests of drawers being particularly good for storage and usually made of beech hard wood.

We added some gorgeous mid Century numbered hooks to really make it stand out but also have great function too. A nice size to easily accommodate at home but still offer bags of style and practicality. At this price they are a steal!
A fantastic colour, style and patina on this 1970 Bench. It came from a school in Skipton. We love the design, the colour and patina to the frame and the colour pop seat! No chips, cracks or damaged edges to the seat and backrest makes this bench really stand out from the crowd.
Old school, Retro – call it what you will but this is a very stylish investment………
