This very stylish old school gym bench dates to around the 1980’s and came to us from a school in Windsor. It has all of the fantastic old school/ gym style in a perfect size for home. It is constructed from heavy steel and thick gauge wire – all powder coated when new. It is very practical and in great condition for its age but has wear to the metalwork which is all original and gives the piece its authenticity. A solid and heavy piece, completely the opposite to modern imported reproductions.
A perfect way of tidying up a hallway or entrance whilst adding a real style statement.

This gym bench is of a really good solid weight and construction. The frame is steel with steel shoe baskets and frame finished in a warm grey matt paint. All hung under a thick and heavy solid piece of hardwood. The baskets are a very generous size to accommodate large size adult shoes or boots. We think the design is great and perfect for a small hallway or entrance space.

This gym bench dates to around the mid to late 1950’s. It came directly from St Andrew’s private school in Pangbourne, Berkshire. The bench is completely original but we refurbished the top as it was all stained and peeling of varnish. We kept as much of the original wear and colour as we could. It retains a beautiful colour and now has a nice clean sheen too. The baskets are in very good condition for their age. Perfectly aged patina. A very stylish but super practical shoe bench.
These are very popular benches and we are finding it harder and harder to get them like this. Every time we manage to find one it flies out to another very happy customer.

This very stylish old school gym bench dates to around the 1980’s and came to us from a school in Oundle, Northamptonshire where it spent its whole life. It has all of the fantastic old school/ gym style in a generous size for home. It is constructed from steel box section frame with with beautifully grained and coloured iroko for the hooks board and seat slats. It is very clean and in great condition for its age. We love the design and condition of the hooks too. SO much useful hanging space to tidy up that hallway or boot room?
