This gym bench and baskets dates to around 1950-60 and came out of the changing rooms at Mount Kelly Private school in Tavistock, Devon. Beautiful colour and sheen to the original mahogany top and gorgeous natural wear to the galvanised steel shoe baskets below. We had to add new steel legs for this bench as the original ones were cut and were originally fixed to the wall. The new legs are in keeping with the original design, made from steel and sprayed gloss black.  A really good size and weight to be a super stylish and practical piece at home now.

We have various sizes of these benches available with rows of four, five or six baskets wide (such as this one). We also have 1970’s later baskets which are black powder coated. We could even make up benches at double this width etc.

We do also have lot of original mid century gym hooks in stock (original chrome ones from Mount Kelly school, painted ones, stripped, chrome, numbered, on back boards etc. etc.)
