This gym bench dates to around the late 1950’s to mid 1960’s. It came from a ballet school in Cambridgeshire, where it was used daily until we acquired it. We have two available. This one at 141cm long and a longer one around 185cm. They have just been gently cleaned and refreshed as we adore the complete originality of them. The top has perfectly aged wear but presents a beautiful colour and sheen. The baskets have the signs of decades of use and wear – again perfectly aged to show their authenticity. All the perfect old school styling ready for contemporary new homes.
These are very popular benches and we are finding it harder and harder to get them like this. Every time we manage to find one it flies out to another very happy customer.

Great proportions, lovely detailing and design. A classic, stylish piece that could be used in the bedroom, living room, hallway etc.
The table was stripped back, painted in Farrow and Ball’s Cornforth White, distressed to add real character and waxed with clear Briwax for finish and protection.

A stunning Victorian cast iron mirror in unbelievable, original condition. This piece is English and would have originally hung above a cast iron fireplace or in a bedroom. A beautiful and very stylish late 19th Century Victorian glazed dresser / bookcase in original walnut finish. It dates from around 1880 to 1900 and has beautifully aged original cabinetry, glass, brass ware, locks and key for both sections. This came from a private Client home in SW London where it lived through three generations, owned by the same family. It is very stylish, classic and flexible in design and very flexible to match a vast array of room styles. The colour is superb having aged beautifully over the last 120 years+.
We think it would also make a fantastic individual bookcase/ dresser or kitchen / diner cabinet. The piece is tall though and does not split in to two sections for transportation. The bookcase stands at 231cm tall so please check your ceiling heights carefully before purchasing. This is an impressive size that will certainly commands lots of attention and only appreciate in value.

Original mid 20th Century changing room/ gym bench. Beautiful patina to both the original wooden slats forming the seat and the underslung wire baskets. The rear legs required extending as the bench was originally fitted over heating pipes. Other than that the piece is completely original. Original legs are metal with all original paint and patina. The rear extensions have been formed from vintage solid wood before being painted black to match.
We love the style and practicality offered!
