A very nice Antique French double tambour cabinet in Oak, dating from the early 20th Century (c. late 1920’s to early 1930’s). It comes with original handles, locks and key, together with lots of removable and adjustable internal shelves. The colour and condition of the oak are beautiful and the size is perfect for the home. Not too large to over power but offering lots of storage and having a real presence. There is some lifting of the veneer on the top surface. None missing but clearly some water penetration (probably from a plant) has started to lift the veneer from the base. Please see photographs for visual evidence.
A very nice example of a French tambour cabinet. This piece offers beautiful styling with lots of flexible storage capabilities. The inserts are easily removed should you want more space between shelves eg Taller books, taller bottles, hard files etc.
