A stunning mid Century oak desk produced by Astrola of Hammersmith, London. Completely original condition but fully cleaned and refurbished by us. Presented in beautifully coloured oak with through dovetails joints to the pull out drawers and dovetails on the two main pedestal drawers. The tambour door works smoothly, as do all drawers and the pull out top shelves.
A beautiful desk that can be used as a decorative/ dress piece or as a fully functioning desk space. It has been over 7 years since we have seen this model in stock and we can totally understand why they get snapped up so quickly. A real keeper!

A gorgeous English oak tambour cabinet dating from the 1930’s. A beautiful colour, size, and design. The door runs freely, opening to reveal some very usable storage. It is hand made from good quality English oak which has aged perfectly to give a beautifully rich colour and some very impressive grain. The cabinet has a good weight showing signs of quality, not like the French tambours of the period. The door retains its original lock and two keys. The shelves are adjustable or removable. We could also supply a few more shelves should you need them.
Practical, stylish and pretty unique. What’s not to love?

A gorgeous English oak tambour cabinet dating from the late 1920’s to mid 1930’s. A beautiful colour, size, and design. The door runs freely, opening to reveal some very usable storage. It is hand made from good quality English oak which has aged perfectly to give a beautifully rich colour and some very impressive grain. The sides and even the back are panelled, showing signs of real quality, not like the French tambours of the period. There is also a pull out central tray to the top section of the cabinet.

A gorgeous vintage French double tambour cabinet in dating from the mid 20th Century (c. 1940-50’s). A beautiful colour, size, and design. Both doors run freely, the brass escutcheons, locks and keys are all original and working exactly as they should. Internally the pine inserts are original and in good condition.
A very nice example of a French tambour cabinet that offers beautiful styling with lots of storage capabilities. The inserts are easily removed should you want more space between shelves. Or more inserts could be added if you needed more shelves.

An amazing tambour cabinet in Oak, dating from the 1930’s. The cabinet comes with all of its original pull out haberdashery type drawers and brass label holders, which are just gorgeous. The right hand side of each drawer is scooped, as these cupboards originally held paperwork/ filing in each drawer. The bottom two drawers do not open, they are fixed fascias. All other 14 drawers open as they should. The door runs well though the lock has been removed. The condition of the oak cabinet is solid and in very good order for its age. The drawer fronts have their original and natural colour variations due to the grain and patination over the years.
A beautiful tambour cabinet which are always so popular when we can find them! This piece offers beautiful styling with lots of flexible storage capabilities.

A very attractive and beautifully coloured single tambour cabinet in Oak, dating from the early 20th Century (c. 1930’s). The cabinet comes with its original pull out haberdashery type shelves and brass label holders, which are just gorgeous and rare to find in these cabinets. All of the trays are easily removable, or height adjustable to accommodate whatever you need to store. We love the colour, size and quality of oak on this cabinet. The size is perfect for the home and could be used as a cabinet for drinks, books, magazines, towels, CD’s etc etc.
The carcass does have a couple of cosmetic ‘dings’ as can be expected with the age of the piece. The door has two old split slats (photographed) and there is no lock or key for the door. The door does close and stay close without the latch/ lock mechanism. Pleas see all photographs for the condition and just ask if you would like any further details or photographs.
