An original very heavy oak school cabinet which came to us from a Barristers Chambers in Lancashire. These cabinets were hand made in the 1920’s to late 1930’s. The construction is of high quality English oak and the cabinet weighs around 100 kgs. The size, colour, weight and quality of oak just scream quality. It has all of its original brass-ware and was produced for schools (predominantly) in the 1920’s and early 30’s. They were often painted over, neglected or even scrapped. Imagine this full of kitchen ware, glasses etc or as a TV Stand with huge storage below for children’s games and toys?
Pure quality and a piece of UK academic history.
Given the right room and position this will gain LOTS of attention and admiration.

An original c 1960 mid Century Tall Boy / Cupboard. This could be a great hall cupboard for shoes and magazines, a bathroom cupboard for towels and toiletries, a kitchen cupboard for crockery etc etc. Use it in which ever room you need. It is presented in a very nicely aged and coloured oak finish. Both bottom doors have catches on to keep the doors closed correctly. With two drawers it offers a lot of combined storage in a super looking and stylish package. Such popular pieces with lots of flexibility. We can see why they sell so quickly!

A original turn of the Century cupboard in beautifully aged and coloured mahogany. The cupboard dates to around 1890-1910 and is unusual in it’s height and width. We think the cupboard has so many uses as a shoe cupboard, toiletries, a bathroom cabinet etc. The piece retains all of its original brass ware, working lock and one key.

A original Art Deco music cabinet in excellent antique condition. Beautifully aged colour and grain with all original handles and sliding front mechanism. A stunning George VI linen cupboard dating from around the 1820’s to 1830’s. The outer framework and top are made from quality English mahogany, displaying the best of the beautiful grain, with perfectly aged colouration. The carcass displays additional quality finishing with inlaid piping to the top and door infills. Internally the large haberdashery type drawers are also made from mahogany oak with pine bottoms. All the drawers have been sanded back to remove layers of lignin paper and wallpaper over the years. They can be used as is or lined with your choice of paper or material.
We adroe the classic Georgian lines, the condition and beautifully aged patina. It is a stunning genuine antique and would make a beautiful addition to almost any room.

Probably the most beautiful piece of furniture we have bought in the last 5 years! Originally bought from Liberty & Co in Regent Street, London, we estimate it dates from the late 1930’s to 1950. It certainly has an Anglo Indian influence and it just says ‘Raffles, Singapore’ to us! Beautifully carved to the frame work, base and drawers it was clearly a very expensive piece when bought new.
The door inserts have a Bergere style to them backed in their original velvet lining with a stunningly carved centre piece. All handles, locks and key are present. Internally there are twelve beautiful linen press type drawers.
A simply stunning piece. Our research has shown nothing similar that we can find.

A very pretty and versatile solid oak vintage cupboard. It has been fully stripped and hand finished in Farrow & Ball’s Brassica colour with a protective clear wax finish for resilience against spills and wear. With a bottom cupboard section and two drawers it offer lots of really useful storage space.
‘Brassica’s rich lavender tones feel charming in light areas, but become much more sophisticated and grey in darker areas due to an underlying hint of black. Named after the group of plants which includes purple sprouting broccoli, this warm shade lifts cold feeling rooms without being overtly red. It is often combined with Elephant’s Breath and Skimming Stone for a rich, contemporary feel.’ – Farrow & Ball
