A super looking original glazed bookcase with original glass sliding doors. Produced around the 1940’s this is a really clean and completely original example by Minty of Oxford. Minty were well renowned for their quality hardwood bookcases and are now very sought after. A great size, superb colour an condition – and all completely original. We love the flexibility of the piece to be a bookcase, filing/ paperwork cabinet, drinks cabinet, TV stand etc. You get to choose what you need and how you would like to use it!

This is a beautiful example of a Minty Bookcase in a perfectly coloured and aged oak finish, dating from the 1930’s. The top section has a Minty of Oxford label, to prove it’s authenticity. Used in legal offices, accountants etc Minty was one of the finest makers of these types of stacking bookcases. This piece has three stacking sections in varying heights with a deep bottom section for storage of larger books and items such as bottles. Each section retains the original glass, has beautiful ornate handles and very rarely an original lock and key to each of the three sections. Locks have been tested and turn free and easily. Each section can be taken apart for easy transportation or relocation to another room. A great addition to any home!

Used in legal offices, accountants etc Minty was one of the finest makers of these types of bookcases. This piece has four stacking sections in graduated heights with a deep bottom section for storage of larger books and items. Each section retains the original glass. There is also a very unusual top compartment with original door and handle. We have never seen this design before. Perfect for hiding away mail or things that aren’t great o look at. Each section can be taken apart for easy transportation or relocation to another room. A great addition to any home!

Produced around the late 1950’s to early 1960’s this is a really clean and completely original example by Minty of Oxford. Minty were well renowned for their quality oak and walnut bookcases and are now very sought after. A great size, superb colour with original adjustable shelves and original glass. We love the details of the brass shelf supports and adjusting mechanism, the beautifully shaped legs and the colour of the walnut.
At 86.5cm high it offers lots of flexible storage capabilities as a bookcase, drinks cabinet. sideboard, TV Stand, Media Unit etc. It can easily be accommodated in to living, dining or bedroom styling. The shelves are adjustable or removable by moving the pegs/ supports for each shelf. Fantastic and highly desirable mid century styling.

£0This is a lovely example of a Minty Bookcase in medium oak, dating from the late 1920’s to early 30’s. The top section has a Minty of Oxford label, which proves it’s authenticity. Used in legal offices, Minty was one of the finest makers of these types of bookcases. Excellent craftsmanship can be seen in the 3 stacking sections, the bookcase still has original glass in it’s glazed doors. Brass handles dress the doors and each opens fully with a ball bearing catch on each to ensure they stay closed.
The shelves are a good size for books or other items that you might want to display. Each section can be taken apart for easy transportation or relocation to another room. A great addition to any home!
