This is a super example of a Barrister’s style bookcase in oak, produced by Minty of Oxford. It dates from around the mid to late 1930’s and offers lots of very stylish storage. It is made from beautifully coloured and grained oak and Minty are renowned for their quality stacking bookcases. The bookcase is presented in excellent vintage condition. We replaced the original glass as it was leaded glass with many cracked panels. One section is very slightly deeper (2mm). The bookcase splits in to different sections for ease of moving to the room of your choice. Use as a bookcase, drinks cabinet, bathroom cabinet, cosmetics and perfume etc.

This is a beautiful example of a Barrister’s style bookcase in English oak. It dates from around the early 1930’s and looks so cute in this size. It is made from beautifully aged oak and Minty are renowned for their quality stacking bookcases. The bookcase is presented in exceptional condition for its age. The bookcase splits in to different sections for ease of moving, or for expanding the size if you wish. These bookcases were termed ‘elastic bookcases’ by Globe Wernicke, as you could just add sections as you required more space. We love this one in this size though.

A perfectly coloured oak example of a mid century glazed bureau bookcase cabinet by Minty of Oxford. Minty produced some really nice quality bookcases from the early 20th Century to the late 20th Century. This very flexible model was produced in the 1930’s and the oak has aged perfectly – not too dark and not too light. With so many storage sections it offers great flexibility as a bookcase, drinks cabinet, secretaire etc. All sections and doors are original and working exactly as they should be. No chips or scratches to the doors. The middle bureau section retains its original working lock and key for safe storage, should you need it.
Very stylish and super on trend at the moment. It would be hard to find a better example than this.

A super looking original glazed bookcase with original glass sliding doors. Produced around the 1940’s this is a really clean and completely original example by Minty of Oxford. Minty were well renowned for their quality hardwood bookcases and are now very sought after. A great size, rich and warm walnut colour and condition – and all completely original. We love the flexibility of the piece to be a bookcase, filing/ paperwork cabinet, drinks cabinet, etc. You get to choose what you need and how you would like to use it!
It can easily be accommodated in to living, dining or bedroom styling. Fantastic and highly desirable mid century styling.
Clean lines and classic styling that offers incredible value for money.
