This gym/ changing bench dates to the early 1950’s and came to us straight from a school near Wimborne in Dorset. It is in completely original condition; fully stable with no wobbles and perfectly aged wear on the baskets, legs and slatted top. Constructed from steel box section and solid oak slats it has a really good solid weight and looks fantastic We just gave it a good clean, and lightly waxed the oak with a clear wax for replenishment and a refresh.
This piece has all the superb old school styling you could want and a really good size. A perfect way of tidying up a hallway or entrance whilst adding a real style statement.

This cute little gym/ changing bench dates to 1970 (one of the benches dated underneath in pencil) and came to us straight from a school in Prestwich, Manchester. It is in amazing original condition for its age and previous use. Constructed from steel box section and solid teak throughout it has really good solid weight and looks fantastic, with the backrest set at adult height, not child height. We just gave it a good clean, and teak oiled the wood for replenishment and refresh. Perfect for a small hallway or flat entrance? Or one each for two children?
This piece has all the superb old school styling you could want in the cutest little package. A perfect way of tidying up a hallway or entrance whilst adding a real style statement.

This gym bench dates to around the early to mid 1960’s. It is in super original condition but we had to make up new legs due to the previous original legs being cut to sit over heating pipes. The bench top is a beautifully rich aged colour with very straight and solid baskets below. The legs are made form steel and sprayed gloss black to mirror the original ones.
These are very popular benches and we are finding it harder and harder to get good original ones. Every time we manage to find one it flies out to another very happy customer. This one is a vey usable size but easy to accommodate in to most spaces, being only 120cm wide.
A perfect way of tidying up a hallway or entrance whilst adding a real style statement. Very stylish and on trend!

This gym bench dates to around the mid 1950’s and came straight out of a school in Swansea. It is in super original condition with perfectly aged patina to the bench seat top and steel frame. A really good length and easily able to seat four. These benches look superb on their own or with shoe baskets underneath and/ or vintage coat hooks above. This is solid, 100% original and a superb old school styling statement piece. We have six of these benches available and they stack on top of each other should you need the space. They make fantastic hall benches, dining benches and also additional seating for all of those BBQ and garden parties!

This gym bench dates to around the 1920’s to 30’s. It is a heavy solid piece being made from heavy iron on the legs and framework. The slats on top are original in nice thick oak. The shoe baskets are generous in height and also nice and deep at 28cm, so they can easily accommodate larger adult size footwear. This is rare to find such an old school bench. We generally see them from 1960’s to 1970’s.
The bench is in solid original condition both in the iron framework and the oak slats. No wobbles when sitting and a good weight to feel securely planted.
These are very popular benches and we are finding it harder and harder to get good original ones. Every time we manage to find one it flies out to another very happy customer. This one is unlike most due to being much older and a very different, more industrial design.

This gym bench dates to around the late 1950’s to early 1960’s. It is a heavy solid piece being surrounded in 23mm thick wood and having 16 shoe baskets. The shoe baskets are also nice and deep at 31cm, so they can easily accommodate large adult size footwear. SO much storage! We have also sold these to customers that want a different style TV Stand. A great idea too!
This bench is in super condition both in the solid framework and the galvanised metal shoes baskets. Most of the baskets get bent or broken over the years but this one is in really good, straight condition, with perfect aged patina to the metal work. We fully stripped and cleaned the piece, then re-fixed and re-glued all joints for safety. We also gently restored the wood to its original finish. It has all the original style and character but ready for another 60+ years of use.
These are very popular benches and we are finding it harder and harder to get them like this. Every time we manage to find one it flies out to another very happy customer. This one is unlike most due to being bigger and having lots more baskets.
