£0FREE Ground Floor Delivery on this desk within approximately 130 miles of Cambridgeshire. Further afield locations will incur a surcharge to send via couriers.
A beautiful genuine antique desk in solid hardwood frame with pine drawers, dating from the early to mid 193o’s. It came to us in a very poor state with its original dark brown stain and varnish peeling and in bad condition. We stripped the desk back and refinished it in Farrow & Ball Off Black, with a clear wax for resilience and protection. This complements the original top and original refinished pine drawers. The top is in original but cleaned condition. The top does have cosmetic signs of its use. There are two small cut outs to the back of the rear legs. Hardly noticeable but please see close up photograph.
We love the finished piece. A perfect blend of original antique and fresh bold contemporary design. A unique and stylish desk that offers real value for money and a statement desk.
Please note that the desk is large does not disassemble. You should double check that the desk will pass through all doorways and turns before purchasing. Any questions then please just ask us.

153cm Wide, 90cm Deep, 75.5cm High

£0FREE Ground Floor Delivery on this piece within approximately 130 miles of Cambridgeshire. Further afield locations will incur a surcharge to send via couriers.
A beautiful single pedestal tambour desk handmade in solid oak. It dates from around the late 1920’s is in completely original condition but fully cleaned and gently restored by us.
Beautifully aged and coloured English oak throughout. These desk are pretty hard to find in such good original condition and most are the much larger double pedestal desks – beautiful but a bit difficult to accommodate in most people’s homes. The top section can also be removed on this desk if you have a tight doorway or access space to consider. The tambour door works smoothly, as do all drawers and the little drawers inside the top section. The desk has lots of cute little pigeon holes to store your treasures and necessities. The roller door has its original lock and key – which is pretty rare indeed. When the door is pulled down and locked an internal locking mechanism also locks all drawers at the same time. Nice and secure.
A beautiful and hard to find desk that can be used as a decorative/ dress piece or as a fully functioning desk space.
The build and quality will mean these desks can only appreciate in value if looked after well.
Overall Dimensions: 109.5cm High to top shelf, 74cm High to work surface, 91cm Wide, 66cm Deep (max).
