1920’s Roll Top / Tambour Desk in Oak
£0FREE Ground Floor Delivery on this piece within approximately 130 miles of Cambridgeshire. Further afield locations will incur a surcharge to send via couriers.
A beautiful single pedestal tambour desk handmade in solid oak. It dates from around the late 1920’s is in completely original condition but fully cleaned and gently restored by us.
Beautifully aged and coloured English oak throughout. These desk are pretty hard to find in such good original condition and most are the much larger double pedestal desks – beautiful but a bit difficult to accommodate in most people’s homes. The top section can also be removed on this desk if you have a tight doorway or access space to consider. The tambour door works smoothly, as do all drawers and the little drawers inside the top section. The desk has lots of cute little pigeon holes to store your treasures and necessities. The roller door has its original lock and key – which is pretty rare indeed. When the door is pulled down and locked an internal locking mechanism also locks all drawers at the same time. Nice and secure.
A beautiful and hard to find desk that can be used as a decorative/ dress piece or as a fully functioning desk space.
The build and quality will mean these desks can only appreciate in value if looked after well.
Overall Dimensions: 109.5cm High to top shelf, 74cm High to work surface, 91cm Wide, 66cm Deep (max).

Original Victorian Campaign Desk
£0FREE Ground Floor Delivery on this desk within approximately 130 miles of Cambridgeshire. Further afield areas will incur a charge to send via couriers.
A beautiful Victorian campaign desk in mahogany and brass. These campaign are very highly sought after and we can totally se why! The desks were made to be easily transportable for use on sea trips, military missions etc. This one is beautifully preserved in perfectly aged colour and patina. Just look at those aged brass handles! There clearly signs of use and wear but the desk is in excellent condition for its age and the trips it clearly made. The original leather top was beyond repair with holes and corners missing. We gently restored the whole desk top surface and applied a new quality black leather insert. All good for another 100+ years of use and adoration. We just know this will be perfect for somebody’s space.
The desk easily split down to the two pedestals and top. The top simply lifts off the pedestals and is repositioning by the retaining strips on top of each pedestal.
