Read moreRare 10 Drawer Architect / Plan Chest by Esavian (ESA)
£0FREE delivery on this item within approximately 130 miles of Cambridgeshire. Further afield locations will incur a charge to send via couriers.
An exceptional and rare full 10 drawer Architect/ Plan chest of drawers designed and produced by Esavian/ ESA. Esavian/ ESA were more known for working with James Leonard and designing some fantastic school furniture in the 1950’s and 60’s. We have sold many ESA drawers, gym benches, desks and chairs but we have not come across a full chest of plan drawers by them before. The chest is marked with the ESA stamp, along with Moss Partners (1966) and a Staverton stamp. This means Esavian designed and produced the drawers, Moss Partners (Manchester) distributed them and they were headed for RAF Staverton to hold maps, aircraft drawings and the likes.
The drawers date to May 1966 and have been fully refurbished. The chest retains its original stamps for authenticity (see photograph). All of the drawers run freely and are free from any chips or the usual marks. Internally the drawers are very clean. All in all a pretty rare and gorgeous piece!
We adore the design, colour and size of the chest. A very rare find in this condition. The chest splits in to two sections for transportation and siting.

£0FREE Ground Floor UK Delivery on this piece within approximately 130 miles of Cambridgeshire. Further afield locations will incur a surcharge to send via couriers.
A truly exceptional and stunning Art Deco haberdashery counter in perfectly aged oak. The piece dates to around the late 1920’s to mid 1930’s and spent most of its pretty easy life in a general store near Woodbridge, Suffolk. All of the drawers are completely original and all are dovetail jointed to show the quality of the hand craftsmanship. It is very rare to find these drawers without a drawer or two missing, handles missing, chips to the edges of the drawers etc. The condition of these drawers is probably the best we have ever seen! We had to replace the top glass section as the original one was cracked and not safe. It has been replaced with a new piece of toughened safety glass to comply with current regulations. Apart from the new glass top the whole counter and drawers are completely original throughout. It probably weights around 100 kgs, reflective of the quality of oak and thickness of the glass.
An incredible piece of genuine antique statement furniture. It could be used in a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, dining room etc etc. Anywhere that you wanted to really show such a beautiful piece off.

£0FREE Delivery on this piece within approximately 130 miles of Cambridgeshire. More remote and rural locations will incur a charge.
A very stylish mid century teacher’s desk in beautifully grained and coloured teak. It dates from around the late 1950’s to early 1960’s and is in beautiful condition, fully cleaned and gently restored by us. This desk came to us from a private owner in Lincolnshire. It is presented in a beautifully aged colour and patina with a really nicely sized work surface for home use. The desk looks almost as good form the back as it does from the front – mainly due to the very carefully selected teak grain giving such incredible uniformity! The drawers are all dove tail jointed and run very freely. The bottom right hand drawer is a double height filing drawer. There are two pull out shelves to the top of both pedestals – one just a shelf, the other containing the original plastic stationery tray stamped with the Burndale maker’s mark.
A super looking desk, very useable for regular working with such a generous work surface and all of that storage.
Overall Dimensions: 76.5cm High, 136cm Wide, 75cm Deep
Kneehole: 67cm height clearance, 48cm wide
Please note: this desk does not disassemble. Double check all of your door openings and access points before purchasing.

£0FREE Shipping on this item within approximately 130 miles of Cambridgeshire. Further afield and rural areas will incur a charge.
A super cute and stylish mid century glazed bookcase in teak and glass. Produced in the 1960’s it is handmade form teak, with its four original sliding glass doors. It has a nice weight from the quality of teak used, together with the glass doors. We love the size, the lines and those cute little legs! The bookcase has all four of it’s original glass sliding doors. There is one glass chip to the edge of the upper glass door (circa 2cm). Not very noticeable until viewing up close but we clearly have to point this out. The chip is reflected in the price.
The lower shelf has some adjustment on height, or can be removed completely. If you need any further close ups or have any questions, just ask us.
We think the piece offers lots of flexible storage capabilities as a bookcase, drinks cabinet, sideboard, display unit etc. It can easily be accommodated in to living, dining or bedroom styling. Fantastic and highly desirable mid century styling at such a great value for money price.
