Original 1950’s Old School Gym / Shoe Bench
£0FREE Ground Floor delivery on this item, within approximately 130 miles of Cambridgeshire. Further afield locations will incur a surcharge to send via couriers.
This gym bench dates to around the mid to late 1950’s. It came directly from St Andrew’s private school in Pangbourne, Berkshire. The bench is completely original but we refurbished the top as it was all stained and peeling of varnish. We kept as much of the original wear and colour as we could. It retains a beautiful colour and now has a nice clean sheen too. The baskets are in very good condition for their age. Perfectly aged patina. A very stylish but super practical shoe bench.
These are very popular benches and we are finding it harder and harder to get them like this. Every time we manage to find one it flies out to another very happy customer.
A perfect way of tidying up a hallway or entrance whilst adding a real style statement.
