This is a lovely example of an early 20th Century stacking Bookcase in oak, dating from the late 1920’s to early 30’s. It is very much in the style of Globe Wernicke but without the premium price tag. Excellent craftsmanship can be seen in the stacking sections, the bookcase still has original glass in it’s glazed doors. The cutest brass handles dress the doors and each opens fully with a ball bearing catch on each to ensure they stay closed. The handles on the bottom two doors are more modern replacement but very fitting, nicely coloured and styled to match.
The shelves are a good size for books or other items that you might want to display. The bookcase can be taken apart for easy transportation or relocation to another room. A great addition to any home!
