Early 20th Century Fire Bucket with Original Cast Iron Hook C

£0

FREE UK Delivery on this item.

A superb early 20th Century fire bucket (circa 1900-1910), complete with its original stunning cast iron hanging hook. We acquired 8 of these buckets in total and they came directly from the train station where they were fitted in 1909 (sign hanging above was dated).  They all offer the perfect aged red colour and lovely patina. It is getting hard to find these buckets in original paint and finish but not all beaten up and dented etc. There are many buckets trying to be original out there, later painted in red paint and stencilled but these buckets are completely original and superb.

This bucket looks like it has been in true action putting out a fire and we LOVE that. Look closely at the paint finish and covering of something that has been burning landing on the bucket. A fabulous testament to its history. Priceless.

These would look amazing hung beside an open fire or log burner, holding logs, kindling, firelighters etc. Or in a commercial setting as an authentic display piece. Or they make great garden planters with a difference.
