Decorative Console / Hall Table in Farrow & Ball Railings

This console is an elegant solid wood console table produced circa 1930’s to 1940’s. It has some very decorative features with carved and fluted columns to the front and decorative carvings on the top framework. It retains its original brass drawer handles (one very small scroll section missing). The piece has a nice quality feel and weight to it, solid and sturdy, not flimsy in any way. It came to us in a tired state of dull dark brown. We fully stripped the whole piece and refinished it in Farrow & Ball Railings. A clear coat of Annie Sloan chalk paint wax has also been applied, to seal against water and spills.
We think it now offers a classic and chic console table with plenty of storage on its top, shelves and two generous drawers. Both drawers are clean and run easily. Reclaimed and refinished furniture is so much better for the planet too!

This is an original vintage linen bus blind in a great size and super vintage condition. It came from a Bus in South Yorkshire first used in 1969. We bespoke mounted the blind in an antique white thick card mount and bespoke black wooden frame. With its age, size and condition the piece now offers some fantastic original vintage wall art. There are signs of use on the blind, as clearly this has been in use and rolled around many times but we would consider it in excellent vintage condition for the age. All part of its heritage and authenticity.
Such a different piece of wall art to hang wherever you choose.
