An original and very old hand painted fair ground sign dating from around the late 1800’s. It would have been part of a fairground side stall in its hey day. It is hand painted on board, retains nice vibrant colours but obviously does show some signs of age and wear. A perfectly ‘used’ piece of vintage wall art with superb patina. We adore the vibrancy and fun of this piece – be it in a kitchen, café, ice cream parlour etc. A rare find of this age to have survived in this condition!

An original industrial factory lamp in completely original condition. It dates to around 1940-50 and has clearly been well used. It came to us from a factory in Budapest. We cleaned the lamp, got the articulated joints moving and oiled. We then added some new twisted black fabric cord and mounted it on a bespoke oak mount. The oak is also mid century to match the age of the lamp. Both arms adjust in height and position via the original wing nut fastenings
We love the style and the character. It does show plenty of signs of wear and some dings in the shade. All within the photographs and all adding to its heritage and authenticity. If only this lamp could tell you some of it’s stories…..?

A great looking original 1930’s No Smoking sign. This sign dates to around the early 1930’s. It is hand painted on white enamel over metal. It has a nice weight and the enamel is in exceptional condition for the age. Most enamel signs of this age have chipped and the metal underneath has rusted. This has very clear writing still in tact with a very nicely aged white enamel background. Four holes for hanging wherever you choose.
A great little sign!
