An unusually sized original mid century glazed bookcase/ unit/ sideboard in Teak. Produced in the 1960’s by Morris of Glasgow the cabinet has a really good weight and also some really nice brass ware. The door hinges are fully hinged piano hinges, adding to a quality construction feel. The size is unusual in that it is quite tall but slim. Ideal for an alcove or somewhere that is restricted on the width available. The unit is completely original with exceptional condition to the solid wood framework, original sliding glass doors and original handles and catches. Very hard to find in such outstanding original condition.
Both the top and bottom shelves are easily adjustable, or removable, by simply moving the wooden support pegs to different holes. Or removing the shelves completely, should you need to. Both doors slide easily and are free from chips. If you need any further close ups or have any questions, just ask us.
We think the piece offers lots of flexible storage capabilities as a bookcase, drinks cabinet. sideboard, display unit etc. It can easily be accommodated in to living, dining or bedroom styling. Fantastic and highly desirable mid century styling at such a great value for money price.

A beautiful early 20th Century stacking bookcase by Lebus. The piece offers lots of storage in its four generous glazed sections, together with a bottom pull out drawer. The bookcase splits in to 5 sections for ease of transportation and moving to the room of your choice. The whole piece is presented in perfectly aged oak with the cutest original button handles too. This bookcase has some very attractive features that set it apart from most stacking bookcases; namely the curved lines, the hand carved fretwork to the cornice and the shaped sides to the top of the piece. All marks of quality that would have set this bookcase at the upper end of what Lebus offered in the early 20th Century. This would have been an expensive bookcase when new, and now it is even better with age. We haven’t come across a better Lebus bookcase!
