An excellent example of an original mid century low glazed bookcase/ unit/ sideboard in Teak (not teak veneer). Produced in Aug 1955 this is solid, completely original and in great condition. It may be mid century but it carries some beautiful Art Deco inspired lines. It is also unusual in that the grain is flowing laterally on the door (not vertically) and the grain on the top flows front to back, rather than end to end. This is also an Art Deco/ 1920’s inspired design detail. It retains its original glass sliding doors and adjustable height shelves with brass supports. Some real signs of quality within this piece. We love it! Small but perfectly formed.
At 77cm high it offers lots of flexible storage capabilities as a bookcase, drinks cabinet, sideboard, TV Stand, Media Unit etc. It can easily be accommodated in to living, dining or bedroom styling. The shelves are adjustable or removable by moving the pegs/ supports for each shelf. Fantastic and highly desirable mid century styling.

An excellent example of an original mid century glazed bookcase by Morris of Glasgow. Produced and stamped 1957 it is made from teak with a really nice shape and size. The bookcase retains its original glass, internal shelf adjustment system in brass, along with original brass bolts, lock and key. A very nice mid century design staple with the perfectly aged colour that will fit in to almost any room you need. This will just move rooms and styles with you for decades.
At 98cm high it offers lots of flexible storage capabilities as a bookcase, drinks cabinet, or even a TV stand. It can easily be accommodated in to living, dining or bedroom styling. The shelf is removable by moving the pegs/ supports and can be adjusted in height in circa 3cm increments. Fantastic and highly desirable mid century styling.

An unusually sized original mid century glazed bookcase/ unit/ sideboard in Teak. Produced in the 1960’s, we can not find a maker’s label but the cabinet has a really good weight and also some really nice brass ware. The door hinges are fully hinged piano hinges, adding to a quality construction feel. The size is unusual in that it is quite tall but slim. Ideal for an alcove or somewhere that is restricted on the width available.
Both the top and bottom shelves are easily adjustable, or removable, by simply moving the wooden support pegs to different holes. Or removing the shelves completely, should you need to. Both doors slide easily and are free from chips. There are some age related cosmetic marks but you would have to be looking hard to find them and we have photographed anything, so please check all photos carefully for the condition. If you need any further close ups or have any questions, just ask us.
We think the piece offers lots of flexible storage capabilities as a bookcase, drinks cabinet. sideboard, display unit etc. It can easily be accommodated in to living, dining or bedroom styling. Fantastic and highly desirable mid century styling at such a great value for money price.
