A very rarely seen matching pair of 1960’s bookcases in teak. The bookcases were produced in the 1960’s as part of Herbert Gibbs Gold Label Autograph range. The plate remains to the rear for provenance. The colour is what makes them rare. Teak bookcases by Herbert Gibbs are normally darker than this. This is the first pair of bookcases we have seen, by Herbert Gibbs, in this light a shade in almost ten years. The frame is beautifully coloured and aged teak with a knife edge detail. All of the glass doors are original. We couldn’t bare to split them but will if they are not bought as a pair in the coming weeks. Perfect for alcoves?
