£0FREE Delivery on this desk. Some more remote and rural areas will incur a charge.
A very cute and stylish single pedestal teachers desk dating from the 1960’s. It is made from oak with a great colour. Four free running desk and a pull out shelf make this a completely functioning and practical desk for a smaller space. A residual water mark on the top is too deeply ingrained in the oak to remove without spoiling the surface finish. It is purely cosmetic but does make this super cute desk a real style bargain.
These teachers desks nver hang around for long due to their great style, usability and value.

A fantastic solid and heavy oak desk that looks very contemporary and stylish. This desk dates from the 1930’s. It is a beautiful colour and size with plenty of storage within the six drawers. The desk has three drawers to the left pedestal, a central knee hole drawer and a double height filing style drawer to the right pedestal, with a further standard sized drawer above. Both pedestals also have pull out top shelves for drinks, resting books, mouse mat etc.
These desk are most commonly referred to as teachers desks now and this one certainly has been. It came to us from the very well respected Gresham’s private school in Holt, North Norfolk. It even had the Gresham’s Loan papers still in the drawers, all of the department’s contact telephone numbers (naughty!) and a POLO mint. In this size and condition with such perfect provenance, we don’t expect this desk to hang around for long.

£0FREE Delivery on this piece. More remote and rural locations will incur a charge.
A simply stunning solid oak desk handmade by Astrola of London (Hammersmith, W6). It dates from around the late 1930’s to early 1940’s and is in completely original condition but fully cleaned and gently restored by us.
Truly stunning heavy English radial cut oak throughout, with through dovetails joints to the pull out drawers and dovetails on the three pedestal drawers. Even the drawer sides are solid mahogany, not the more usual pine. A sign of the quality of this desk. The tambour door works smoothly, as do all drawers and the pull out top shelf to the right pedestal. The roller door is released by pressing the original brass release button. There is a lock but no key. We would be able to get a key cut should you really want the pedestal door to lock.
A beautiful and rare desk that can be used as a decorative/ dress piece or as a fully functioning desk space.
The build and quality will mean these desks can only appreciate in value if looked after well.
