A exceptional set of original mid century steel filing drawers in the best perfectly aged green colour. Produced by Roneo around the late 1950’s to mid 1960’s the drawers are in a superb colour and condition, with all original handles and label holders, working lock and key. The condition is exceptional for the age of the cabinet with no dents, major scratches, rust etc; which are all very common on these old filing cabinets. It is the perfect size for home or office with all suspension file rails still present and in tact. The cabinet and drawers have all been fully cleaned and the runners re-oiled. Superb condition for its age with plenty of industrial design and character. Industrial style and practicality all rolled in to one.

An exceptional and rare full 10 drawer Architect/ Plan chest of drawers by Staverton. The drawers are presented in their original teak finish and date from 1956. The chest retains its original Crown Stamp, ER and Staverton September 1956. The colour and aged patina is probably as good as it gets for mid Century Staverton furniture. All of the drawers run freely and are free from any chips or the usual marks. There is even the original locking flap to the top 5 drawers. We got the lock working and have one key to operate the lock. Al in all a very rare and gorgeous piece!
We adore the design, colour and size of the chest. A very rare find in this condition. The chest splits on to two sections for transportation and siting.

It is presented in its original green paint finish and gorgeous chromed handles. The drawers all run freely and are exceptionally clean inside. They even retain the original side rails for suspension files (fit modern sizes and readily available). An incredibly popular design in the best colourway. Not too large a size for home or study use. An exceptional full 9 drawer Architect/ Plan chest of drawers by Carsons furniture. The drawers are presented in original teak and date from the 1960’s, produced by Carsons Furniture. The teak grain and aged patina is probably as good as it gets for mid Century teak furniture. All of the drawers run freely and are free from any chips or the usual marks. The makers label is still present in the top drawer.
We adore the design, colour and size of the chest. A very rare find in this condition. The first we have seen in over 5 years.

A very stylish and solid mid century oak desk handmade in oak. It dates from around the late 1930’s to 1940’s and is in completely original condition but fully cleaned and gently restored by us. It presents itself in a beautiful deep honey coloured oak with superb original patina and a really nicely sized work surface for home use. With five free running drawers there is also a lot of very useful storage space. The bottom right hand drawer is a double height deep filing type drawer for extra storage.
English oak with quality dovetails joints to all five pedestal drawers. The drawer internals are also very clean. There are some old water stains to the top right hand corner. Easily hidden with a lamp, plant etc but we have detailed them here and shown in the photographs for honesty of condition.
The build and quality will mean these desks can only appreciate in value if looked after well.

An exceptional full 9 drawer Architect/ Plan chest of drawers by Abbess. These drawers came to us from the North o f Scotland Agriculture College in Aberdeen. They sat in the same spot since the early 1950’s. Inside the drawers were original drawings and plans from the early 1950’s, along with a handwritten Visitors book, dating back to 1953. All of this provenance will be included within the sale. We have never seen a more original Abbess plan chest in such superb condition. All of the drawers run freely and are free from any chips or the usual marks. The Abbess makers label is still present, as is the stamp inside one of the drawers.
The colour and grain are superb. Made from oak they have been stained (from new) in a rich golden brown walnut colour, that has just got better and better over the decades. This chest splits in to three sections (plus a base made later) for easier transportation and positioning in to the room of your choice. Immense storage in stunning style and exceptional condition. These chests are never with us long. We have not seen a better example of an Abbess plan chest than this one.

A very stylish mid Century Architect/ Plan chest of drawers in a beautiful rich walnut colour. These drawers came to us from an 85 year old artist that was finally ‘retiring’. She painted, printed and framed for over 60 years from her home studio.
We gave the piece a full clean and gentle restoration to really make it shine again. The colour and grain are superb. Made from oak they have been stained (from new) in a rich golden brown walnut colour, that has just got better and better over the decades. All the drawers are solid and free running with exceptionally clean interiors. These chests are incredibly popular and are hard to find in a condition and size like this. We have seen these chest sell at £1200-1800. This chest splits in to two sections for easier transportation and positioning in to the room of your choice. The condition is very good for the age of the cabinet with no major dents, major scratches, rust etc; which are all very common on these old filing cabinets. It is the perfect size for a home office or study as it is slimmer than the usual sized filing cabinets (please see dimensions below). It has all suspension file side rails still present and in tact, together with brand new bottom drawer liners in wood. The cabinet and drawers have all been fully cleaned and the runners re-oiled. Great condition for its age with plenty of industrial design and character. Industrial style and practicality all rolled in to one.
