£0FREE Delivery on this desk. More remote and rural locations will incur a charge.
An beautiful desk in solid English radial cut oak, dating from the late 1920’s to early 1930’s. It carries very distinctive Arts & Crafts movement lines and legs. Well constructed and a very good weight for its size; reflecting the quality of oak and carpentry used in its construction. It came to us in a very sorry state on top but now has been stripped back to its original wooden top. The whole desk has then been cleaned, teak oiled and refinished. A beautiful solid little desk with bags of antique style and charm.
Both drawers run freely and have been fully cleaned out. One handle does have a grain split on it (please see close up photograph)
This will only get better with age and appreciate in value. A superb quality antique desk.

£0FREE Delivery on this desk. More remote and rural locations will incur a charge.
A very attractive and stylish double pedestal desk dating from the 1970’s. This desk was handmade by a carpenter in Newcastle for his daughter to study for her A Levels. He made it in his shed at the bottom of the garden. She was the first member of his family that stood a chance of going to University!
This style of desk is often referred to as teachers desks but this one was definitely a study desk. We love the story, the handmade imperfections and the aged colour and patina of it. It is now available for somebody else to love and use.
Please check all photographs for the condition of the desk. Should you need any more detailed pictures, just ask. We ask that you check all measurements of the desk to make sure it can pass through doorways and access points before making a decision to purchase.

A very attractive and stylish double pedestal desk dating from the 1930’s. These desks are often referred to as teachers desks but this one came out of a solicitors office in Buxton, Derbyshire – where it had been since new! With some gentle cleaning and tlc it came up beautifully again. A testament to how well it has been looked after, we believe. It is a great size for home with lots of very useful storage. All drawers are clean and run smoothly, as do the two pull out shelves at the top of each pedestal. The bottom right hand drawer is a double height filing type drawer.
