£0FREE Shipping on this item. More remote and rural locations will incur a charge.
A beautiful mid Century desk dating from around the 1960’s. It is large and heavy, reflecting the quality of solid mahogany and the carpentry. It is fully hand made and quite unique in design. It is very reminiscent of minimalist Scandinavian in design but the writing from the carpenter looks European/ possibly French. We believe it would have been a bespoke made piece, certainly not mass produced.
We adore the style, size and colour of the desk. So much work space on that long sleek top and eight very generous drawers for storage. Each drawer has its own quality brass lock. A beautiful quality and individual desk. What a joy this would be to work from?
Dimensions:
183cm Wide, 77cm Deep, 71cm Desk Height
NB The lamp is not included within this sale but is available for sale separately. We only charge one delivery charge, even if you buy multiple items.

These desk are most commonly referred to as teachers desks now and this one certainly has been. It came to us from the very well respected Gresham’s private school in Holt, North Norfolk. It even had the Gresham’s Loan papers still in the drawers, all of the department’s contact telephone numbers (naughty!) and a POLO mint. In this size and condition with such perfect provenance, we don’t expect this desk to hang around for long.
