This console is an original solid wood console table produced in the mid to late 19th Century. It was hand made in mahogany with elegant hand turned legs, typical of the early Victorian period, coming out of the Georgian period. It came to us in a tired state of dull dark brown. We fully stripped the whole piece and refinished it in a French Navy Blue Estate Emulsion for a contemporary colour pop and very appealing matt finish. A clear coat of Annie Sloan chalk paint wax has also been applied, to seal against water and spills. A nice blend of antique and contemporary. Use it in the hallway, bedroom, bathroom or wherever you choose 🙂
We think it now offers a very contemporary and useful console table made from solid wood and offering many more years of use. Reclaimed and refinished furniture is so much better for the planet too!

A circa 1910’s to 1920’s Edwardian chest of drawers. The chest has a good solid weight to it and original very pretty handles. We fully stripped and refinished the carcass in Farrow & Ball’s Hague Blue, with a clear wax coat for protection and resilience. The drawers were also refinished in a colour match stain and satin varnish. They are a super size for a bedroom, bathroom or hallway – or any other room you need them 🙂 A contemporary update to a classic piece with pretty handles and very clean drawers inside.

A circa late 19th Century chest of Victorian drawers. We fully stripped and refinished the whole piece in Farrow & Ball’s Manor House Grey, with a clear wax coat for protection and resilience. The carcass and drawers have also been distressed at the edges to reflect the age and character of the piece. They retain their original black ceramic button handles and all but one drawer have working locks with one key. All drawers run easily and are clean inside. Antique chic with character in a neutral grey that will fit in to most colour schemes.

A circa late 1920’s to early 1930’s Art Deco design chest of drawers. We fully stripped and refinished the whole piece in Little Greene Paint Company’s Tea with Florence Eggshell finish. The Eggshell finish gives a slight sheen but not shiny, with good resilience to wear and accidental spills. We love the finished effect. A contemporary update to a classic piece with pretty handles and very clean drawers inside.

We restored the top back to bare wood and refinished it with a clear satin varnish, adding a very appealing contrast to the Hague Blue below. A nice blend of antique and contemporary. With two cupboards and a drawer it offer slots of super practical storage for such a compact table.
We think it now offers a very contemporary and useful console table made from solid wood and offering many more years of use. Reclaimed and refinished furniture is so much better for the planet too!

This is an original early 20th Century chest of drawers originally produced circa late 1930’s to early 1940’s. It came to us in a tired state of dull dark brown and in need of restoration. We fully stripped the whole piece and refinished it in Farrow & Ball Hague Blue Estate Emulsion for a contemporary colour pop and very appealing matt finish. A clear coat of Annie Sloan chalk paint wax has also been applied, to seal against water and spills. The chest has some details to it and superb handles.
We think it now offers a very contemporary and useful chest of drawers made by the very well established producers Harris Lebus. Reclaimed and refinished furniture is so much better for the planet too! Please note this will have some signs of age with cosmetic signs of wear, though nothing significant, it is not a new piece. Please look at all photographs carefully for the condition and just ask if you have any further questions.

It retains its original drawer handles. We fully stripped the whole piece and refinished it in Farrow & Ball Off Black. A clear coat of Annie Sloan chalk paint wax has also been applied, to seal against water and spills.
We think it now offers a classic and chic occasional desk or console table with plenty of antique chic styling. Both drawers are clean and run easily. Reclaimed and refinished furniture is so much better for the planet too!
