A fantastic example of a mid century stacking glazed book case by Minty of Oxford. This is the only one we have seen standing on its original black base and legs. A rare model owned privately from new in 1958, complete with original stamped receipt from Minty, London, SW1.
Minty produced some really nice quality bookcases from the early 20th Century to the late 20th Century, usually in a dark oak. This one is perfectly coloured and completely original throughout. The bottom two sections are high and deep enough to store 12 vinyls, magazines or large books. It splits down in to individual sections for ease of moving to the room of your choice.
Very stylish and super on trend at the moment.

A perfectly coloured oak example of a mid century glazed bureau bookcase cabinet by Minty of Oxford. Minty produced some really nice quality bookcases from the early 20th Century to the late 20th Century. This very flexible model was produced in the 1930’s and the oak has aged perfectly – not too dark and not too light. With so many storage sections it offers great flexibility as a bookcase, drinks cabinet, secretaire etc. All sections and doors are original and working exactly as they should be. No chips or scratches to the doors. The middle bureau section retains its original working lock and key for safe storage, should you need it.
Very stylish and super on trend at the moment. It would be hard to find a better example than this.

Minty produced some really nice quality bookcases from the early 20th Century to the late 20th Century, usually in a dark oak. This piece is made from beautifully coloured mid oak with a gorgeous grain. The bookcase was one of three we purchased from a private owner. They bought the bookcases new in Wrexham in 1956 and had owned them and treasured them ever since. All doors are original and working exactly as they should be.

This piece is made from beautiful mahogany with a stunning grain to the lower solid doors. The bookcase was one of three we purchased from a private owner. They bought the bookcases new in Wrexham in 1956 and had owned them and treasured them ever since. All shelves and doors are original and working exactly as they should be.

A stunning example of a mid century low glazed book case or drinks cabinet by Minty of Oxford. Minty produced some really nice quality bookcases from the early 20th Century to the late 20th Century, usually in oak. We have not come across this style or size from them before. It is made from solid walnut with a really nice weight to it, reflective of the quality. All shelves and doors are original and working exactly as they should be. The shelves are adjustable in height by moving the supports up or down within the unit. The bookcase is set on superbly styled legs and lower sub frame.

This is a beautiful example of a Minty Bookcase in a perfectly coloured and aged oak finish, dating from the 1930’s. The top section has a Minty of Oxford label, to prove it’s authenticity. Used in legal offices, accountants etc Minty was one of the finest makers of these types of stacking bookcases. This piece has three stacking sections in varying heights with a deep bottom section for storage of larger books and items such as bottles. Each section retains the original glass, has beautiful ornate handles and very rarely an original lock and key to each of the three sections. Locks have been tested and turn free and easily. Each section can be taken apart for easy transportation or relocation to another room. A great addition to any home!
Very on trend at the moment and versatile in its use.

This is a very handsome example of a Minty Bookcase in a rich Walnut finish, dating from the late 1930’s to mid 1940’s. The top section has a Minty of Oxford label, to prove it’s authenticity. Used in legal offices, accountants etc Minty was one of the finest makers of these types of bookcases. This piece has four stacking sections in graduated heights with a deep bottom section for storage of larger books and items. Each section retains the original glass. There is also a very unusual top compartment with original door and handle. We have never seen this design before. Perfect for hiding away mail or things that aren’t great o look at. Each section can be taken apart for easy transportation or relocation to another room. A great addition to any home!

A very unusual example of a mid century tall glazed cabinet by Minty of Oxford. Minty produced some really nice quality bookcases from the early 20th Century to the late 20th Century, usually in oak. We have not come across this style or size from them before. It is made from solid teak with a really nice weight to it, reflective of the quality. With so many storage sections it offers great flexibility as a bookcase, drinks cabinet, secretaire etc. All shelves and doors are original and working exactly as they should be. No chips or scratches to the doors and a beautifully aged colour.
