A very clean set of six drawers by UNIFLEX. UNIFLEX brought revolutionary design in the 1950’s and 60’s, completing with G Plan and the other large names. UNIFLEX offered more minimalistic designs that were not so popular in the mid Century but clearly very much appreciate now. This ‘Tallboy’ chest has a very clean and sleek design. We have not seen a set like this before. Constructed from teak and teak veneer they are in very good original condition, untouched by us. All six drawers are very clean inside and run exactly as they should.
The top drawer retains the original UNIFLEX stamp for authenticity. All handles are original.

A very stylish mid Century chest / sideboard in golden oak. This was hand made in the 1950’s by a woodwork teacher in Wiltshire. He made them for his own home, where they have been since finished. The style is very much of Scandinavian minimalism but offers a huge amount of versatile storage. With a very generous cupboard at the bottom and three free running drawers above, it could be used in pretty much any room of your home.
A design staple that can move rooms and homes with you due to its timeless lines and hand made build quality.

An exceptional and rare full 10 drawer Architect/ Plan chest of drawers by Staverton. The drawers are presented in their original teak finish and date from 1956. The chest retains its original Crown Stamp, ER and Staverton September 1956. The colour and aged patina is probably as good as it gets for mid Century Staverton furniture. All of the drawers run freely and are free from any chips or the usual marks. There is even the original locking flap to the top 5 drawers. We got the lock working and have one key to operate the lock. Al in all a very rare and gorgeous piece!
We adore the design, colour and size of the chest. A very rare find in this condition. The chest splits on to two sections for transportation and siting.

A beautiful and rare design by Alfred Cox. This console table was designed by Alfred Cox, produced by hand and sold by Heal’s of London. It is finished in a beautiful walnut grain with hand turned handles. It is a rare model and carries some exceptionally elegant lines. With three drawers to the top and a scoop fronted full width lower drawer it offers plenty of very stylish storage. It could serve as a hall table, bedroom/ dressing table, TV stand etc. A stunning and unique piece of British design history.
There are some minor ‘dings’ to the top edges of the left and right hand drawers, which are not visible when the drawers are closed. Please see photographs for close ups. There is also an old repair (not done by us) to the left leg. The drawers are still in very good original condition for their age, the top surface is unmarked. Without any marks or cosmetic issues this style commands £795-895. We have priced it very competitively with just the cosmetic issues noted.
The original Alfred Cox (AC) label is present and fully in tact on the inside of the top right hand drawer, to prove its authenticity.

A stunning set of drawers dating from the 1960’s and of Alfred Cox design. These drawers were designed by Alfred Cox, produced by hand and sold by Heal’s of London. An exceptional full 9 drawer Architect/ Plan chest of drawers by Carsons furniture. The drawers are presented in original teak and date from the 1960’s, produced by Carsons Furniture. The teak grain and aged patina is probably as good as it gets for mid Century teak furniture. All of the drawers run freely and are free from any chips or the usual marks. The makers label is still present in the top drawer.
We adore the design, colour and size of the chest. A very rare find in this condition. The first we have seen in over 5 years.

An exceptional full 9 drawer Architect/ Plan chest of drawers by Abbess. These drawers came to us from the North o f Scotland Agriculture College in Aberdeen. They sat in the same spot since the early 1950’s. Inside the drawers were original drawings and plans from the early 1950’s, along with a handwritten Visitors book, dating back to 1953. All of this provenance will be included within the sale. We have never seen a more original Abbess plan chest in such superb condition. All of the drawers run freely and are free from any chips or the usual marks. The Abbess makers label is still present, as is the stamp inside one of the drawers.
The colour and grain are superb. Made from oak they have been stained (from new) in a rich golden brown walnut colour, that has just got better and better over the decades. This chest splits in to three sections (plus a base made later) for easier transportation and positioning in to the room of your choice. Immense storage in stunning style and exceptional condition. These chests are never with us long. We have not seen a better example of an Abbess plan chest than this one.

We gave the piece a full clean and gentle restoration to really make it shine again. The colour and grain are superb. Made from oak they have been stained (from new) in a rich golden brown walnut colour, that has just got better and better over the decades. We had to fully clean, strip, stain and finish every drawer and the framework, including the top. These chests are incredibly popular and are hard to find in a condition like this.
