An excellent example of an original mid century low glazed bookcase/ unit produced by Herbert E Gibbs (metal plate of authenticity still in tact) . Produced in the 1960’s this is solid teak, completely original and in very good condition. It has all four of its original sliding glass doors and internal adjustable shelves.
At 112cm high it offers lots of flexible storage capabilities as a bookcase, sideboard, drinks cabinet, TV Stand, etc. It can easily be accommodated in to living or bedroom styling. The shelves are easily adjustable and removable by moving the original pegs/ supports. Fantastic and highly desirable mid century styling.

An unusual 1960’s low glazed bookcase/ unit/ sideboard produced by B & S Goodman, London . Produced in the 1960’s this is solid, completely original and in great condition. It has its original glass doors, shelves, height adjustable support brackets and door handles. There is one small area of veneer damage, approximately 4mm on the front of the right hand door. Only visible on close inspection/ scrutiny but we prefer to highlight any issues.

This is a quite exceptional example of a mid 20th Century stacking Bookcase in solid oak, dating from the 1940’s to 50’s. The piece is heavy and made from very good quality radial cut oak. The quality of the oak used and the weight and thickness of the original glass doors all point to a piece that would have been expensive when new. All of the glass doors are original with no visible scratches or chips. The patina is superb for oak of this age and has clearly been cherished and well cared for.
The shelves are a good size for books or other items that you might want to display. The bookcase can be taken apart for easy transportation or relocation to another room. A great addition to any home! Contemporary mid Century styling that is very on trend but with quality of construction. A timeless classic that will only appreciate with age.
